“Princess, maybe think about this?” Ash protested and I turned around with a smile to my face and an expression that asked him and all of them to trust me.
Without having to say a word, they understood. I had the power to make my choices myself and I have made this one. I turned back to Cynthia who had a smile to her face.
“Thank you so much. Thank you!” Her appreciation was making me nauseous.
I yanked my leg out of her hands and took a step backward. “But, it will only be temporary. You will be given a room here for the main time and I expect that you work towards leaving as soon as you’re back on your feet.”
She was too eager with her response and it only made me more suspicious about her behavior. “I swear it, Raven. I’ll be out of your hair in no time.”
