And within minutes, Jaxon and his brothers were in my room. I don’t even know how they managed to hear me from where they were but they all assembled.
As I had suspected, the rose was from Varek but what was puzzling was how it got there.
Varek was powerful, yes, but he couldn’t gain access into my room himself else he would have done that already which meant only one thing.
There was someone inside the pack who was helping him and that person had used the distraction caused when Varek was outside to slip into my room to drop the rose.
