I followed meekly behind Joaxon as he led us to the same room he and his brothers had met after the trial yesterday.
His back was tense and I knew he was really really mad at me. Or at Rhett but definitely at what he had seen. I wanted to explain that there was nothing going on but I would be lying to myself. There WAS something. I felt it and so did Rhett.
There was a lot of s****l tension between us. Both on the floor then and when we had touched previous times. What it meant, I didn’t understand yet but I knew it couldn’t be good.
Jaxon closed the door after I walked in and nodded for me to take a seat. I sat in the same armchair as yesterday and waited. I was very sweaty and I hoped we would be done soon so I could go have a shower.
