I stared at the scene before me, shocked and barely able to process it. I used to see Raven as someone who was weak and needed protection by twice today has she shown me that she was more than capable of protecting herself.
“I can explain.” She said, moving forward. I could clearly see her shaking as if she hadn't come to terms with what she had done herself.
I stopped her. “I think I understand. It was self defense. You're good.” My words barely did anything to sooth her but I could see some form of relief in her eyes.
