I couldn’t believe it. She had actually done it. Varek had been a thorn to our flesh and to nearly every pack around. And yet she single-handedly killed him off.
My chest heaved with pride knowing that my mate and the Luna of this pack was the one who saved her pack from destruction.
She let out a howl that echoed through The Den and the pack members did the same, myself and my brothers joining in.
Whoops of excitement filled the entire space as the pack members began to jubilate. The reapers, seeing as their leader had been defeated, started to flee. Ironclaw members made sure to kill as many as they could before the rest of them made their way back into the woods, powerless now, without their leader.
