Chapter 15 I Have A Twin

The next day I don't have any class, so I stayed at home to watch Davis and have some time with him. James went to work.

After a boring day without James, he came home around 5. He said he has something important to tell me.

"James: What is it that you want to tell me?

James still didn't say anything, he kept looking at me.

"James, you need to talk. Really, what's going on?"

"Emily, Brian is your twin brother."

"What do you mean he is my twin brother? I'm not a twin."

"You are a twin. He said someone stole him as a baby and dumped him at the orphanage. The person didn't know you guys were twins, that's why she stole him alone. He said he found out he was a twin when he was looking for his birth parents and he saw you on the news."

"What! I can't believe I'm a twin. Where is he? Do my parents know about this?"

"They don't know yet, but I have called them over and Brian too. They are on their way. You need to calm down, baby."

After a while, my parents arrived.

"Mom, Dad, I missed you so much."

"We missed you too, our daughter," they said together.

"Please have a seat. We have something to say to you, but I need to ask you a question, Mom. Am I a twin?"

"Mom: Why did you ask that, Emily? Is something wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong, Mom. You just need to talk."

"Yes, you are a twin, but I lost your brother. When I gave birth to you guys, I heard both of your cries. But the told me that your brother was dead, that he didn't was very sad."

"So that's how it is. But the doctor lied to you. That is my brother there," I showed them Brian who had just arrived

"Brian, please explain what happened to them."

Brian explained everything to my parents. They were suspecting someone I didn't know about, but the person is dead now. So there is no use going back to the past.

Everything went well for the past few months. Brian always comes to play with Davis. He is now Davis's new favorite.

It's been a long time since I heard from Abigail, ever since she travelled.

So I called her, thankfully she picked.

"Abigail: hey Emily, It's been long, how are you doing sorry I didn't come when you give birth"

"there is no issue about that, just want to know if you are fine, is everything okay with you there?"

"Yes Emily everything is fine, just have been busy. I will call you later need to catch up on some things, the company has been stressing me"

"Okay, just relax baby, I will call you later"

I ended the call with Abigail and went downstairs to meet James

It is now my Davis's 1st birthday, and James said we should celebrate it in the orphanage that Brian was taken to too.

We celebrated it with just our family, the orphanage children, and Davis. He had a lot of fun. He is already walking and he always shows it to us. He won't let us carry him.

We finished the party and we all went to our homes.

Several years have passed and we are all doing good.

It is our wedding anniversary and James surprised me with it. He made it memorable for me. I'm so glad I met James. Without James I won't be here.
