Chapter 13 Emily is kidnapped

I woke up and noticed James was not by my side. I went to the table to check the note he left for me, because I knew he always dropped a note whenever he had to leave home early. He told me that the designers would come over in two hours, so I had to get ready.

I went downstairs and saw Nanny. I was so happy and I went to hug her.

"I miss you so much, Nanny. Where have you been all this while? James was looking for you too."

"I'm sorry, my child. There was an issue, and my child called me, so I had to go there. I didn't have time to inform James. His people found my location and I told them what happened. They brought me home yesterday. He told me you were sleeping, that was why we didn't see each other."

"Ohh, Nanny, we were so worried. I missed you a lot. A lot has happened, you know."

"Yes, James told me everything, and about your pregnancy too. He told me to take extra care of you."

"Don't mind him."

"Okay, sit down. Let me serve you."

After finishing my breakfast, the designers came with some people. They helped me get dressed and did some makeup. I don't really like makeup, so I told them to just add a little. After finishing, James came to pick me. He was already dressed.

"Babe, you look stunning. You are so beautiful, my love," he said while kissing me.

"Thanks, baby. Let's go so we won't be late."

We reached the party and some people were staring at me. Some with a smile and some with hatred. Those were probably James' admirers.

James was greeting some people, so I went to the bathroom. Someone bumped into me. I looked up and saw Mia. She smiled at me, but the smile did not reach her eyes.

"Excuse me, you are standing in my way," I told her.

"Mia: You seem so eager to leave, what? Are you scared? Don't worry, I won't do anything to you. I heard you are pregnant. That doesn't stop me from getting James. I will make sure you are out of the way. Don't worry, it won't be long and you will not be here again," she hissed and walked past me.

What kind of lunatic is this? Why didn't she wait for me to give her a response before she left?

I went back outside, and I didn't see James. "Where the hell is James now?" I called his number, but he didn't pick. I went outside to meet the driver. I was on my way when someone hit me on the head. I didn't see the person's face before I passed out.

I woke up, and I couldn't free my hands. I opened my eyes and saw that my hands were tied and I was sitting on a chair.

I didn't scream because I knew I had been kidnapped.

After a while, someone came in. I didn't look up until the person spoke.

I guessed right. It was Mia, that b***h.

"Mia: Ohh, look at our Emily. She is awake. How was your sleep?"

"Why did you kidnap me?"

"Of course, to kill you. What kind of question is that? Even James can't save you, because he believes you ran away. I poisoned his mind. That is why he didn't pick your calls yesterday, and I sent your driver away. You think you can get away from me?"

She thought I would believe anything she said. I know her better than to let anything she says get into my head. I know James will look for me very soon.

"Ohh, so why have you not killed me yet? What are you waiting for?"

"Calm down. I'm not the only one that wants you dead. Even your ex-boyfriend wants you dead too."

I didn't want to say anything that would agitate her, because I needed to stall for time for James to save me. I kept looking at her and I didn't say anything.

That was when Liam entered. The only thing I'm scared of is my baby, because I'm already five months gone. Nothing must happen to my baby.

"Liam: Look at you. You are now in my hands. You let your husband lock me up and ruin me and my family. Now I will make you pay it back. I will have you right here and video it for your little husband. He will also think you are a w***e and won't bother to look for you. Aren't you finished now?"

"Liam, don't you dare try anything funny, or else you will regret it."

"Don't even waste your breath. Let me do what I want to do quickly and get it over with. Don't worry, it won't be painful since this is not your first time."

"Liam, stop it. I'm warning you, Liam, leave me!" I kept shouting for help. That was when James entered with his bodyguards. I didn't even have time to see him save me as I fainted.

"James: Baby, please open your eyes. Take both of them back to the basement and make sure to punish them till I get there." I felt him carry me back to the car. I had to be taken to the hospital.

After reaching the hospital, the doctor was attending to me. After some time, the doctor came out and said that we were both fine. I had fainted due to shock.

I went to her ward, but she was still sleeping. I sat beside her till she woke up.

After some hours, she woke up.

"James: Baby, how are you feeling? Should I call the doctor?" I called the doctor, and he checked on her and said she was fine, that she just needed to rest.

"James, I'm fine."

"I'm glad you are fine. I will make sure both Liam and Mia pay for this."

"How did you find where I am?"

"When you went to the bathroom, I was looking for you and I saw Mia also coming out of the bathroom. I wanted to go in and see if you were fine, but I couldn't do that because it was the female toilet. So I waited. While I was waiting, one of my business partners called me, and Mia bumped into me. I didn't think much of it as I went to discuss business. After finishing, I didn't see you come outside. I was starting to get uneasy. So I thought of calling you, then I didn't see my phone in my pocket. That was when I knew Mia took it and something was wrong.

I called my bodyguard to look for you everywhere, and I checked the CCTV. I saw someone hitting you on the head, and I also saw when Mia was throwing my phone in the waste bin. I went there, took my phone, and I tracked where you were."

"Wait, did you put a tracker on me?"

"I didn't. The tracker was in the necklace I gave you. I didn't trust Liam to leave you so soon. That's why I put it there. I didn't know it would be both of them."

"Thank God you thought of that. Or what could have happened? Where did you put both of them?"

"I dropped the evidence at the police station and got them arrested. But before that, I made sure to take care of them well."

"What do you mean, 'take care of them'?"

"Don't worry, baby, just rest."

It is already 3 months after that incident, and we were free. No one is disturbing us, and I'm not in any danger. My pregnancy is much bigger now. People always give me gifts, and my best friend always comes to spend time with me sometimes.
