Chapter 12 Getting back together

I woke up in the morning and I found myself in James' house.

I was confused. *How did I end up in his house?*

I heard the door clicked open and I saw James. I stared at him.

"What am I doing in your house?" I asked him.

"Baby, what did you mean by 'my house' or 'our house'? Baby, please don't do this. What you saw was a misunderstanding. It's not what you think. Please let me explain."

"Okay, explain. I want to hear your excuses," I told him while folding my hands.

"Okay bby, the thing is that I just finished a meeting and I was about to sit. Then I heard someone come in. I didn't look back because I know you are the only one that will enter my office without knocking. And Michael told me that he is bringing you to my office so I didn't think about it or turn around. And she hugged me from the back. Then that's when I noticed you are not the one, because that's not your smell. When I turned around it turned out to be Mia. I was angry and I pushed her away from me. She hugged me again saying she missed me. I was about to push her and chase her away, that was when you entered. Babe, please you have to believe me, it's the truth."

How dare she hug my husband. I shouldn't have left. I should have put her in her place.

"I'm really sorry James. I should have trusted you and not left like that. I should have fought her and put her in her place. So what do you think we should do with her? And how did you find me in the first place?"

"James: I know you babe. I know you will go to your parents' house if you are upset or your best friend's place. But I called her, she said you were not there. So the only place was your parents' place. I reached there and I saw your parents. They were surprised to see me so I didn't think they knew you were at home. I told them about what happened and that you are pregnant, that you can't stress yourself. They were happy that you are pregnant and they claimed to visit us sometimes. I reached your room and I saw that you were asleep, so I carried you back to our house."

"Hmmm okay, so where is Mia now?"

"I don't know. I went out of the office to look for you."

"You left her in your office? What if she took something, like a document or anything?"

"You're right baby. Wait, I will call Ethan and ask him to check the CCTV."

"Ethan: Mr. Smith, I checked the CCTV. Miss Mia didn't take anything from your office but she called someone and she said something like, 'She came and she saw us together, but how did you know she will come?' I don't know what the other person said, but she went out of your office."

"Okay Ethan, thank you. I want you to trace Mia and whoever she meets. Make sure they don't know about it."

James cut the call and I heard everything Ethan said.

"James, I think she was the one that planned everything. But how did she find out I was coming to your office?"

"That's what is confusing me also. Don't worry baby, we will find out. Since we already know her plan to separate us, we won't let her succeed. I hope you have forgiven me, baby?"

"Yes, I have."

"Baby, we have a charity party to attend tomorrow. I will send some people to help you get dressed tomorrow, and I will come pick you up myself."

"Okay, I want to rest. I don't know why I'm always feeling sleepy."

"Yes, it's the pregnancy symptoms. The doctor told me you will be experiencing that so it's normal, baby. Let's sleep together."

"Okay, good night."
