863 Words
Emily's POV The next day, It's time for our honeymoon. I finished packing my luggage while James also finished his own. He took the two suitcases and dragged them downstairs. Nanny is not back from her village. I'm starting to get worried. James said he couldn't reach her and that he was already investigating what was happening. We reached the hotel we were supposed to stay at for the honeymoon, and we started to unpack our belongings. It was already evening. James asked us to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, so we went there. And I was having a feeling someone was looking at me. I looked behind me and I didn't see anyone. James asked me what happened. I told him nothing. I didn't want to get him worried unnecessarily. We reached our table and James pulled out the chair for me. We sat down and started to eat. James: "Babe, I'm so happy you are finally my wife. I want you to know I love you a lot." James said he loves me. I was happy. But did I love him? I asked myself and the answer was yes. I loved him a lot. He showed me happiness. He was the one that made me realize Liam's truth. He treats me well, so I loved him. "I love you too, James. I really do." I guess he was surprised I said I loved him because he carried me from the chair. I had not even finished my food and people were looking at us. "James, what are you doing? Put me down." James: "I'm carrying you upstairs. We will finish the food upstairs." We reached our room and he gently set me down on the bed. We spent the night talking, laughing, and getting closer as husband and wife. The next morning James said we were going to the beach. I was so happy. We reached the beach but there was no one there. I was happy because I don't like crowds, but I had a feeling James was involved with why the beach was quiet. I brushed it out of my mind. We played a lot at the beach. We ate barbecue and we played in the water. After a lot of fun we left the beach and it was already time for dinner. We went back to the hotel and had our dinner. In a flash, we had already used four days. Today was the last day. We decided to take a walk around the city. "James, thank you for this honeymoon. It is the sweetest thing that you have done. I really appreciate you being in my life." James: "Anything for my wife. And I told you countless times not to thank me. I should be the one thanking you for coming into my life and making my world special. I really love you, Emily." "I love you too, James." While taking a walk, I realized I was hungry. We stopped by a restaurant and we ordered our food. Before the food was ready, I told James I needed to use the toilet. I reached the toilet. I washed my face because I was feeling nauseous. I was on my way back outside when someone blocked the way. I looked up and saw that it was Liam, that bastard. "And what do you think you are doing? Liam, look, I will advise you not to try anything funny because my husband is right there." Liam: "Ohh, stop your nonsense. How could you leave me and get married to James? Is it because he is rich or because he is good in bed?" I slapped him hard in the face. "Don't blame me for your wrong doings. You were cheating on me while we were in a relationship and you have the gut to judge me." He dragged me inside the toilet and locked the door. He removed the key and tossed it in the sink. Liam: "I will see how you will get out and let's see how your husband will save you." "Liam, don't you dare try anything funny. I swear you will regret this." He didn't even listen to me as he came close to me. I kept shouting help and James' name. James' POV I didn't see her come out, so I went to check on her. I didn't see her there but I was hearing her voice. I tried to push the door open but it was locked. I was hearing her shouting my name and cursing Liam. _Oh my God, Liam. What the hell is he doing here? If he tries anything with Emily, I swear I will kill him._ I called security and we barged the door in. I saw Liam standing close to Emily while she was crying and screaming. I didn't think twice. I punched him in the face and removed my jacket and put it around her. I called my bodyguards and had them take Liam away and lock him in my basement. Emily was already unconscious in my arms. I rushed her to the hospital. I kept blaming myself. I shouldn't have left her alone.
