Hearing Saman's words, Kabir felt as though his world had ground to a halt. He looked deep into her eyes, finding nothing but raw honesty and a profound, lingering sorrow. "Simran? But why doesn't she come herself? And how does she even know me?" Kabir asked, his voice thick with anxiety. Saman took a long, heavy breath and walked toward the small garden outside the library. Kabir followed closely behind. They sat down together on a quiet bench as the evening's fading light slowly gave way to dusk. "Simran is my elder sister," Saman began softly. "For the past two years, she has been battling an illness that has left her bound to a wheelchair. She can no longer step out of the house, but her heart has always remained trapped in this library." Kabir listened, stunned. "But how does she know me? I’ve never seen her before." A faint smile touched Saman’s lips. "You haven't seen her, but she saw you. Two years ago, back when she was still healthy, she used to frequent this library every day. You were always there, sitting at that exact corner table. She admired your quiet nature, your love for books, and the constant comfort of your evening routine. But after her health deteriorated, she was confined to her room." Saman turned to face Kabir, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "A few months ago, when her condition began to worsen, she made a quiet wish. She told me she wanted to spend her remaining time holding onto the memories that gave her the greatest peace. Ever since then, she writes a letter every day... and I simply deliver her messages to you." A sudden weight pressed down on Kabir’s chest. The pink envelope resting in his hand suddenly felt impossibly heavy. He stared down at the paper, realizing it carried the very soul of a girl who loved him deeply without ever having spoken a single word to him. "I want to meet Simran," Kabir declared without a second thought. Saman looked at him, tears finally spilling down her cheeks. "She wants to meet you too, Kabir... but she made me promise never to bring you to her. She doesn't want you to see her in this state." Kabir shook his head firmly. "No, Saman. A girl who pours her entire heart onto paper for me cannot be left to bear this alone. Take me to her."
