Paris was different, and I knew it had to do with what had happened to her in Moon’s Bright—something that had occurred during those hours she spent with that man Dave, whom I now despised above anything else in the world. I could understand that she didn’t want to mark me yet—but she hadn’t even wanted to link our wolves!
That was completely incomprehensible.
