Aelix spoke in front of Paris, just as he had asked her to.
"The men I sent to investigate captured one of the rogues who participated in the ambush against Luna Paris. He didn't hesitate to talk and revealed everything he knew: they were paid with money from Moon's Bright, although he doesn't know the identity of the one who made the payment."
It was just as I suspected. After what Paris told me, it wasn't strange to doubt that her stepsister was behind the plot to get rid of her and, as we suspected, the claim they were now pursuing was only intended to take Paris away to kill her. For some reason, it wasn't in their best interest for her to remain alive, not even outside of Moon's Bright, and having lost any reason to claim leadership of the pack, which only motivated me
