Chapter 5. Hallena, who was cleaning up the house, hurried to reach for her cell phone which kept ringing. [Hello Hallena] Mona's mother's voice came from behind the phone. [What's wrong Mom?] [Hallena, Raina has to go to the hospital today but her health insurance can't be used] [What? Can't be used?] Hallena was surprised, not understanding why Damian didn't pay her sister's insurance again. [Alright, I'll try to ask my husband later] Hallena ended her call. In the evening Damian came home, and as usual, Hallena prepared dinner for her husband. "Honey, Mom called earlier, Raina's health insurance is no longer available." "Yes, I'm no longer paying for it," Damian replied as he enjoyed his dinner. "Why? I've done everything you wanted." "Since you're not pregnant yet, I'll pay again when you are." "What?" Hallena was furious, such an absurd reason, "My sister's treatment can't wait that long." Damian didn't answer, continuing to eat his dinner leisurely. Hallena smiled bitterly, "It seems you only want me to get pregnant, not to be your wife." Damian still didn't answer, ignoring Hallena who looked at him with teary eyes. "Then I want to work." Hallena was tired of begging for money for Raina's treatment. "No, I won't allow it." "Why are you so selfish?" Damian finished his dinner. He walked away, leaving Hallena behind. As the days passed, Hallena was forced to borrow money from some of his friends for Raina's medical expenses. *** "Put this on." Damian gave the dress to Hallena, "Get ready, we're going to my relative's wedding." That night Hallena ready and went to the hotel where the wedding was being held. "My head is so dizzy." During the trip Hallena massaged his dizzy temples several times, he wanted to rest at home but Damian would be angry if Hallena didn't accompany him. It wasn't long before they arrived at the venue. Damian's parents, Axel and Xavier were also there. "Honey, my head is spinning." She whispered to Damian, but he didn't respond, "Honey, I'm not feeling well, I want to go home now." Hallena said once again. "We've only been here for 30 minutes," Damian responded with an annoyed tone, ignoring Hallena's face which had turned pale with pain. Hallena sighed in disappointment, choosing to sit on the chair that was there. "Drink up." Hallena looked up to see Xavier standing in front of him. "Thank you." Xavier felt sorry for Hallena's pale face, not understanding why Damian didn't care for his wife who looked sick. "I think I need to use the restroom." Hallena tried to stand up, but his legs felt weak, his head was dizzy, and his vision began to blur. "Hallena!" Xavier supported Hallena's body who suddenly fainted. Everyone there panicked, including Damian's parents, who rushed Hallena to the hospital. The medical staff immediately treated Hallena in the emergency room, Damian's parents looked panicked, but not Damian who sat calmly and without worry. "Doctor, how is my son-in-law?" Damian's mother rushed over to a female doctor who had just come out of the emergency room. "There's nothing to worry about, this is common in early pregnancy." "Pregnant?" They were all surprised to hear it, including Damian. "Doctor, is my wife pregnant?" Damian asked enthusiastically. "That's right, she's only 3 weeks along." Damian smiled happily, he was relieved that Hallena was finally pregnant. Meanwhile, Hallena, who was still lying in the emergency room, slowly opened her eyes. "Why am I here?" Hallena looked confused at his surroundings. "Honey." "Mom?" She saw Damian's parents enter the room. "Honey, thank God you're okay." Hallena was even more confused when Damian suddenly embraced him intimately, something he rarely did, "From now on you must take good care of your womb." He gently rubbed Hallena's stomach. "Pregnancy?" "Yes dear, congratulations you will soon become a mother, you're pregnant." Mrs. Damian explained enthusiastically. "I'm so happy." Damian hugged Hallena again, while Hallena looked pensive, I don't know if she should be happy or sad. Happy because Arlan's request had finally been fulfilled, sad because this was not Damian's fetus but Xavier's. One week passed and Hallena spent most of her time lying in bed. Hallena still felt nauseous and dizzy at the beginning of her pregnancy. "Looks like this melon is very fresh," Hallena muttered as he looked at the photo of the melon on his phone screen. It felt like she was craving it, but there was no one at home to send it to because Damian still wouldn't let her use a maid. Hallena texted Damian to bring her a melon when he got home from work. "Honey, are you home yet?" Hallena smiled at Damian who had arrived home that night, "Honey, you didn't bring anything?" Hallena looked at Damian who came home empty-handed. "What should I bring?" "I want a melon." "Oh, I'm so tired today." "Wait," Hallena grabbed Damian's arm, "can you buy it for me? I want it." Hallena pleaded while gently stroking his stomach, hoping Damian would understand his situation. "I'm tired, don't trouble me." Damian brushed Hallena's hand away and left the room. Hallena sighed in disappointment again, Hallena hoped that with her pregnancy Damian's attitude would be a little better to her but in fact, Damian remained indifferent. The next morning, Hallena was in and out of the toilet countless times, her stomach feeling very nauseous. "Honey, I'm not feeling well, can you accompany me at home for once?" Hallena asked Damian was about to go to the office. "I can't leave my work," Damian responded indifferently to Hallena's condition. That day there would be an important meeting in Damian's office. "Oh my, I think I left the file at home." Damian chuckled, he immediately asked Xavier pick up the file that was left at home. It wasn't long before Xavier arrived home, he knocked on the door a few times until Hallena opened it. "Xavier?" "I came to pick up the files in Damian's office." "I see." "Are you sick?" Staring at Hallena's pale face. "I'm fine." Hallena turned around, but his head was getting dizzy. "Hallena!" Xavier was surprised to see Hallena who suddenly fainted, and rushed Hallena to the hospital. A few moments later, Hanum, who had woken up, looked confused as he lay in the hospital. "What, is the baby weak? Is it dangerous?" Hallena saw Xavier, who was talking to a doctor who was treating him, looking panicked, Hallena had never seen such a panicked face on Damian. Xavier rushed to call Damian, and soon Damian arrived at the hospital. "Honey." Hallena smiled at Damian's arrival. "The doctor said that if your womb is weak, can't you take care of it?" "What?" Hallena didn't understand Damian's attitude of blaming him. "I won't forgive you if anything happens to your womb." Damian gave her an annoyed look. "Where are you going?" Hallena grabbed Damian's arm as he was about to leave. "I can't keep you company all night here." As Damian left, Hallena had to swallow the disappointment of her husband's behavior. Hallena was hospitalized for two days but Damian didn't come to visit her until she was allowed to go home today. Hallena arrived home to find Damian relaxing in the living room. "You're home?" Seeing Hallena standing in front of him. "Is this baby all you want from me?" Hallena gave him a disappointed look like she was tired of her marriage. "What are you talking about?" Damian responded casually. "If you only want this baby I want a divorce."
