"When are you coming back to the villa?" Jude asked Agnes one evening after work.
He was going to drop her off at her mother's house as had been the practice for the past four days.
"I told you I'd be spending two weeks with her. It's just day four and you are worried. Why?" Agnes asked Jude.
Jude glanced at Agnes with a poker face, and set his eyes back on the road.
"It's too quiet at the villa. I need company," Jude said to Agnes with a low tone that somehow happened to sound domineering for some reason.
Agnes looked at Jude and scoffed.
"I don't get it. What am I? A noise maker? Me and my son are noise makers to you, right?" Agnes asked.
"You warm the house with your presence," Jude Lawson abruptly said without any emotion in his tone and in his eyes.
