The room was empty except for the soldier who had entered when they had first arrived. Koragi glanced up at Tebanis, whose arm she still grasped. His expression was grim, but he allowed her a small, reassuring smile and placed his hand over hers on his arm. She took a deep breath and looked forward when the soldier addressed them.
“His lordship Duke Vaisan will be here shortly,” he said. “They had already finished for the evening, but I have relayed your urgency.”
“Thank you,” Tebanis responded with a curt nod.
