Koragi backed away as if struck. Tebanis watched her, his hands resting on her shoulders. She simply gaped at him, unable or unwilling to fathom what he had just said. He did not linger next to her. Certain that she had calmed enough that her magic would not lash out again, the swordsman darted aside and dropped to one knee next to a body amongst the corpses.
