The Moon and the Sloth

Previously, Gabriel faced the Soul eater and its ally Salamander on his own and managed to administer retribution for the casualties. Fortunately, the souls of Lily and Amy weren't processed completely and now the angel of envy confirmed that the mother and daughter had finally crossed the afterlife safely. However, before leaving to find where his brother had been dozing off. Gabriel encountered Beelzebub, one of the princes of hell that gave off an ominous vibe after a few exchange of conversations.

        After the angel of sloth got blasted away, Raphael found himself falling beside a large basin winter tree where the gentle breeze and a nostalgic petrichor stench made it a perfect place to doze off. And so, the sloth retracted his wings and laid down beside the tree while healing his minor burns before entering his nap. 

The zephyrs were gently brushing through the angel's hair and the soothing melody of silence made it comfortable and relaxing for Raphael. But then, as the gentle breeze continues to pass through, the angel of sloth heard and felt a presence of a stranger peering from a distance.

                    " (Can't people take a hint when someone wants to rest?) said by the voice inside Raphael's head yet the stranger walked casually instead of moving away. 

From the stranger's perspective, the angel appears to be in a deep sleep but on the contrary, Raphael was awake but then the person made a bold move as it tried to touch the angel's alluring visage. However, before the stranger's hand touch the angel's face, Raphael aggressively grabbed hold of their wrist and ask them what do they want whilst his eyes close.

                   But then the stranger responded with a soothing gentle voice, asking to let go of their hand. The angel opened his eyes. Consequently, the clouds withdraw and the moonlight illuminated the darkness brought by the tree's shade. Raphael was astounded. 

                    " Where are my manners, I apologize milady for such display of behavior." uttered the sloth in a gentle manner while he admires the woman's long silk white hair and eyes resembling like sapphire which made the lady formed a smile in the corner of her face.

                    " Apologies as well as I was tempted to touch your face. Sometimes my curiosity takes over whenever I see something alluring such as that handsome visage of yours." 

                    " Well if you put it that way, I won't mind the lady touching my face anytime." Raphael replied while holding his laugh after hearing such words from a lady's mouth.

 The lady began to smile once more and let out a chuckle. The sloth was dumbfounded as to why the lady was laughing so he asked if there was something in his face that made the person laugh.

                    " There's nothing on your face. It's just that I find it funny that you switched from a douche to a gentleman real quick. Is that how you attract flowers? (referring to women)"  

The sloth was taken by surprise but he dodged the question by introducing himself first then asks for the lady's name. " I am called Raphael, the angel of Sloth. May I learn your name?"  to which the person responded momentarily.

                   " I am Luna Grace, priestess of the Crescent Moon Lake, please to make your acquaintance angel of Sloth."  

After providing brief introductions, both exchanged a few words and lost track of time however it was the depth of the night so Luna has to bid farewell and return to their village. 

              " You can return to sleep angel of Sloth, if fate intertwines once more, there we shall meet again." 

           Raphael then bid farewell and return lying on his back and made himself comfortable to chase back his dreams. However, after a few minutes had passed, the angel of sloth heard a dire wolf's howl in the direction where Luna went so urgently he stood up and followed the resonating sound to check if the lady was not in danger.

Raphael accurately followed the sound and after a brief scanning of the environment, the angel fortunately found Luna and saw that the dire wolf was approaching her without her notice. The angel didn't think for a second and swiftly charged and pinning Luna against the ground. The wolf was startled and it ran away, while there's the sudden intimate situation as the sloth and Luna's faces were close enough to feel each other's breath.

                 "Would you mind getting off?" the sloth quickly apologized and helped Luna stand up but as soon as their eyes met, they became timid and shied away. 

                 "What was that all about?" inquired Luna as she understands that there are always a reason for someone's inexplicable actions.

                " After you left, I heard a Direwolf from the direction you went so I checked and saw it approaching you without notice." explained by Raphael to clear the misunderstanding.

                " Direwolf? Silly that's my familiar fetching me for it is late."  Luna couldn't help but laughed. " So it was a misunderstanding on my part? How embarrassing, good thing Gab isn't here."  replied the sloth however, as soon as he mentioned Gabriel, Luna pointed that there was someone following the sloth.

                " You seem to be nervous, what's the matter?" asked by Luna while reassuring that there's no need to mind what happened as it appears to be a misunderstanding.

                " You don't understand It's not about that." replied by the sloth while from the distance, the person Luna mentioned was laughing his head off while casually approaching to where they both are.

                " I didn't know you had it in you little brother." said Gabriel which was in tears from laughing while Raphael appears to be embarrassed. Luna was curious but then catches on real quick and realized that the sloth was unsettled for he'll be teased to death and couldn't help but to laugh as well.

               " I can't help you here Raphael? anyways would you mind introducing me to your brother."  uttered by Luna while Gabriel took a moment to compose himself before introducing himself.     

              " Where are my manners, the name is Gabriel of envy, brother of Raphael who I didn't expect to appear to jump after women, what an animal."  says Gabriel in jest which made Raphael mad and told his brother to cut it off.

              " You seem to have a kind brother Raphael. I'm Luna by the way sir Gabriel, please to make your acquaintances however it's unfortunate that my familiar is calling for me so I need to go back."  

              " No worries, you don't perhaps need my little brother taking you home right? we need to go back as well and I don't want  to ruin anything going on."  says Gabriel which made Luna smile and replied that everything was good and so she went on her way while the brothers gestured farewell.

After exchanging farewells, Raphael seems to be pissed while Gabriel appears to be plotting something when they got home which is why the sloth was concerned.

              " Make sure you keep your mouth shut about this to everyone Gab, I'm not in the mood for your jokes." said the angel of sloth while Gabriel just nodded while holding his laughter as they both enter the heaven's gate.

Satisfied by the angel of envy's response, Raphael entered the hallways feeling exhausted while around the corner appears to be Uriel waiting for them to invite them to dinner. Raphael went ahead, while Gabriel and Uriel subtly signals one another as if both of them had already prepared a plan.
