I’m sitting on Matt’s couch and the minutes between Austin’s call and his arrival seem to last a lifetime. Is he angry with me? Did he get scared when he found I wasn’t home? Is he imagining all sorts of crazy things about my night here? Matt gets me a coffee, trying not to show his annoyance but I can tell that he’s tense.
