Austin and I walk down the halls of the hospital towards Jake’s room. We stop at the crossroads. “He may not have the same room since the operation, I’ll ask the staff.” I look around for a nurse, but all I can see is the lanky figure of Luke Jordon.
He turns at the corner of a corridor. A woman in her sixties is holding on to his arm. Luke doesn’t seem to have seen us.
I head towards Luke and greet him. He seems embarrassed to see us… and at the same time very happy to introduce his mother. We shake hands with her as she very warmly, thanks, Austin. We then leave in search of Jake’s room.
