I turn around. Matt is heading towards me in the lobby. He has his motorcycle helmet in his hand. “Yeah. I didn’t see you come down there.”
“I came by to see Collin. He sends his regards. I’d offer you a ride home… but I don’t think riding a motorcycle is good idea!”
“5 months pregnant, no, I don’t think so… it’s nice of you, Matt! I called a cab. Have a nice weekend.”
Matt winks at me. He heads towards the door leading to the garage. I rub my chubby little tummy and walk through the doors. It’s dark outside. The neon lights shine amongst the car lights.
Suddenly, I’m blinded by a flash. It has nothing to do with the city lights. Almost blinded, I notice a silhouette stand up from behind a trash can. And a second getting closer.
