CHAPTER 15 | UNFORTUNATE CONSEQUENCE

The next day:

Another weekend. Angela was feeling suffocation inside the house so, she went out for a walk in nearby park. There were hardly any people in the park that day, everyone went to other places because of weekend. Angela was almost alone walking in the park. She was still in shock. Suddenly, she felt that someone was following her secretly. Angela looked around but she saw no one. After walking some more, Angela came to a secluded place. She had never been to that place before so she didn’t go far and she decided to go back to the park. Just then Angela heard someone calling her.

“Excuse me… please wait…”

Angela saw a man was running towards her. She stood there & waited for him. He man came & said in hurry,

“Please help me! There is a road on that side where my son had an accident, please help me to take him to the doctor. Please, his condition is very bad!”

Hearing the man’s words, Angela became flustered so without judging him, she ran & followed the man to save his son’s life. They both ran towards the main road but Angela didn’t saw any injured boy. Before Angela realize anything, The man covered Angela’s face with a cloth that contained an anesthetic. Soon, Angela passed out because of the anesthetic. That man was accompanied by another man who picked up Angela and she was taken inside the car and kidnapped.

On the other hand, Andrew did not understand anything that happened with Angela because he cut off all connections with Angela. So Andrew could not feel that Angela was in danger. The kidnappers were taking Angela to an abandoned house, where one was waiting for them, who ordered the kidnappers to kidnap Angela. Within 30 hours they reached there with Angela. A young man in a black suit came out from inside the abandoned house and that young man was Jayden.

The kidnappers handed Angela over to Jayden. They took their payment & left. Jayden took Angela inside and sat her down on a chair, Angela was still unconscious. Jayden tied Angela tightly with the rope. Jayden poured a jug of water on Angela, she regained consciousness. She was looking here & there just then she saw Jayden.

“You??? What are doing here & where am I?” Angela tried to stand but she realized that she was tied up.

“Hey! Why did you tied me up?? Let me go, do you hear me? Let me go!!”

Angela was screaming loudly, for which Jayden gave her a tight slap like she given Jayden. Angela stared helplessly at Jayden.

“Shut up!! Do you think you’ll scream and someone will come to save you? Forget it, there is no one here to hear your screams.”

“You rejected me, huh! Now see what I’m going to do with you! Before that, I have a surprise for you!”

Jayden called someone. “Come on, in!”

Angela heard some foot steps. Someone was coming towards that room. Angela looked up in surprise when she saw who was standing in front of her. It was Bill standing in front of her. Angela’s hands and feet trembled in fear, she was completely frozen. She was so desperate to get up from the chair and run but couldn’t because she was tied up. Even worst, Angela realized she was about to have a panic attack. Jayden said to Angela dismissively,

“What happened?? Are you scared? Do you need your medicine?”

Jayden & Bill were laughing. Angela ‘s condition was getting bad slowly. She thought how she could find a way to get rid of them. She was missing Andrew very much. If Andrew was with her, he would have taught them a good lesson.

“How are you, my dear Angela? It seems like you’re so scared to see me!” said Bill.

“Seeing you today after so many years reminded me of the old days. Do you remember what I did with you?”

Bill moved closer to Angela and squeezed her cheeks hard. “I don’t think you remembered! If you remembered who I am, then you couldn’t even think of taking revenge on me!!”

Angela couldn’t control herself, she said to Bill, “Yes I remember who you are, you are a tyrant! I will take revenge a hundred times with you!!”

“You said what??” Bill was about gave Angela a slap but Jayden stopped him.

“Come on, Mr. Mulgannon! Don’t waste your time slapping her! We have a big punishment waiting for her. Let’s start that!”

“Oh yeah! You are right! Let’s show her!”

In the room where Angela was kept, there was something in the corner of the room which was covered with a sheet. As Jayden removed the sheet, Angela saw another steel chair in the corner with many wires attached to it. She saw another thing made of steel like a helmet.

“It is your punishment Angela, we will drive you completely insane with electric shocks!” said Bill.

Angela was breathing heavily. Hearing about the punishment, he became more restless. She had a panic attack. Angela was behaving like a madman. Jayden untied Angela and placing her in the other chair. Sensing the opportunity, Angela tried to run away but she couldn’t, Bill grabbed her from behind and pulled her back into the room. Also, the place where Angela was kept was a deserted area, so it was no use even if she screamed a hundred times. Still, Angela was crying and screaming like crazy. On the other hand, Andrew was sitting in his own house, disappearing. He kept thinking about Angela but he kept suppressing his feelings. Jayden and Bill were trying to force Angela into the electric chair. Jayden and Bill were trying to force Angela into the electric chair. After so much struggle, they managed to get Angela into the chair. Angela was helpless, she could not cope with the strength of two men. The last thing she did was call Andrew,

"Andrew… help me…" Angela cried out with conviction.

At least, Angela’s faith & the power of love won, Andrew felt Angela’s call, he heard.

“Angela??? I think she needs me!”

As an insatiable soul, Andrew had the power to see where Angela was if he closed his eyes. He used the power to see where Angela was. When he saw Angela, he couldn’t believe that she was going through all of that. Andrew was busted out in anger after seeing the torture that the two devils, Bill and Jayden, were inflicting on Angela. He again assumed a monstrous form and without a moment’s delay disappeared from his house and reached the abandoned house where Angela was. Andrew went to save Angela just then, when Jayden was about to turn on the switch to gave Angela the electric shock. But they failed. As Andrew went there, all the lights started going on and off again & the wind started blowing very hard. Angela understood that Andrew was there to save her. But Bill & Jayden both were so confused, they couldn’t figured out what was going on.

“Hey, Jayden! What’s going on?? Why these lights are acting wired??

“I don’t know but I went through similar situation before, I saw the same situation when I proposed her! Hey, silly girl! What’s going on??? Are you doing magic??” Jayden asked.

“Oh, no I have nothing to do with this! I think your death warrant has been issued! Angela begun to laugh.

“You…”

Jayden was about to hit Angela. Suddenly, he realized that someone grabbed his hand but there was only Bill & Angela. Jayden couldn’t understand what was happening. Before he realize anything, Andrew invisibly punched him. Jayden fell all over the floor after one of Andrew's punches. Jayden was screaming with anger,

“Who are you?? Show me your face!!”

Andrew changed his form to invisible to visible, Bill and Jayden’s souls trembled at the sight of him. Jayden was pretending not to afraid,

“Hey who are you?” Jayden asked Andrew with mood.

“Who l am? Your godfather!!”

Andrew another hard punch on Jayden’s face, his one eye became blue. Andrew grabbed Jayden’s throat and lifted him towards the ceiling, he was choking him hard.

“You rascal! You are going to give my Angela electric shock??? How dare you! Who will save you from me now? I’ll kill you!!” Andrew said in monstrous voice.

Bill was standing in a corner, stunned. He didn’t believe in ghosts or any kind of paranormal activity, but that day everything was happening in front of his eyes. While Andrew was busy punishing Jayden, Bill took the opportunity to escape but to no avail. Andrew understood and when Bill was walking towards the door, the door suddenly closed. Bill tried hard but could not open the door. Andrew shoved Jayden down when he saw Bill. Then he finally punched Jayden so hard that he fell unconscious on the floor. It was Bill Mulgannon’s turn to taste the dust.

Andrew got Angela out of the electric chair before punishing Bill. Angela’s condition was still not good, Angela was still trembling with fear when she saw Bill. Angela hugged Andrew.

“Are you ok, Angela.”

Angela slowly nodded her head yes but her condition was getting worse, seeing Bill was reminding her of all the bad & painful memories from her childhood and she was getting aggressive inside. Angela’s head was spinning. But nothing could be done because Angela did not have the medicine to control herself.

Andrew stood in front of Bill. Andrew was still his monstrous form, he was staring at Bill with angry red eyes. His mother’s murderer, the cause of his and his siblings’ suicide, stood in front of him. Andrew grabbed Bill’s shirt collar then threw him into a corner and he suffered a slight head injury. Andrew again picked him up & put him in the electric chair, Andrew's intention was to electrocute Bill, pushing him to his death like he had done to them. Angela was also happy that Bill was going to be punished for his actions. Bill began to squirm.

“Hey… hey you, ghost! Don’t do that! Heh… hey Angela save me!” Bill was begging for his life.

“Why? Why now? You two were having so much fun when my Angela was crying & begging to you for her life. Now see how it feels!”

“But before you die, I want you to show something.”

“What is it??”

Angela came back to his normal form. Bill recognized Andrew as soon as he saw his face. He was surprised.

“You! That poor & broken guy. I heard about you, You & your siblings committed suicide after that night. Right? It was good. It is a sin for you poor people to live in this world. But you are alive here!”

Angela reached in the last stage of aggressiveness by hearing Bill’s words. Angela saw a gun beside her side, she took it slowly. Incase she need it.

“ I’m not alive, Fool! I’m a spirit, understand I’m an insatiable sprite. Because of you.” Andrew gave Bill a hard punch.

Angela interrupted, “ Hey, dear! Don’t waste your time by beating this greedy & inhuman person! Let’s give him the punishment that he deserves! Let’s end his life!”

“You’re right, Angela!” said Andrew.

“ What? No… no, no Angela don’t kill me! Hey… hey Andrew please stop!!”

Andrew was just about to on the switch to turn on the electric wires to gave Bill shock. But he stopped. Andrew remembered something important. He said to Angela,

“Angela, we won’t kill Bill. We will hand him over to the law. You call 911 and ask for the police help immediately, tell them the truth that you got kidnapped!”

“Yes, yes hand me over to the police I have no problem, but don’t kill me.” Said Bill.

“Wait, no! Not at all! What happened to you dear? Why are you talking about calling the police? Do you think the punishment of the law will be enough for him? Never! His only punishment for he had done to us is death!”

“I know Angela but think wisely. I am a soul, I cannot be visible to all people. Jayden is still unconscious on the other side, so if we kill Bill here now, it will be all your fault, everyone will think you’re the killer because no one can see me. So what I am saying is for your own good.”

“No, I don’t accept it, I don’t care if people think I’m a murderer!!”

“Don’t talk like crazy Angela. What do you think, I can tolerate if you go to jail?”

“I know, but I’m not leaving from here today without punishing him for what he did!”

“And if you are not supporting me then I’ll do did on my own!”

Angela took out the gun & pointed it in front of Bill. Both Andrew and Bill was surprised. That day Angela was fully dedicated to punish Bill.

“Are you crazy?? No, Angela don’t kill me. Hey Andrew please stop her!!”

“ Angela where did you got this gun???” Andrew asked.

“On the floor. They brought this to kill me! Now this will help me to kill this junk!”

“ No Angela you can’t do that! What do you want?? I can do anything for you! You want me to apologize to Andrew, I’m willing to apologize. Don’t kill me.”

“ It’s too late Bill! And do you think everything will be fine if you ask for forgiveness? You destroyed a family, because of you this is Andrew’s situation today. You did not pity me when I was young. You beat & bullied me and made me crazy. And that you are saying to forgive you??? Never!!”

Bill was frightened, he didn’t want to die so soon. So he pretended to apologize to Andrew.

“ Hey, Andrew. Please forgive me, I don’t know what happened to me that night. I repented for my deeds. Please Forgive me.”

“ Andrew my love, don’t listen to him. He is a cunning fox! I know he didn’t apologized from his heart! This is a drama, he is pretending to apologize to save his life!”

“ Angela clam down! I’ll never forgive him! But I think you should listen to me, handover him to the police! Besides, we have no right to kill anyone! God will punish him for what he has done!”

“ What? Andrew what are you saying? This man ruined my whole life, he is the murderer of you & your family. How could you let him go so easily??”

“Enough Angela! No more arguments!! You call the police & I’m going to remove all the electric wires from Bill.”

Angela was burning with vengeance. The painful memories of her childhood, the story of Andrew’s unfortunate fate were all floating in front of Angela’s eyes. Angela’s mental disorder was totally out of control. She will kill Bill at any cost. But Angela didn’t get into an argument with Andrew this time. Another idea came to his mind. He turned back and pretended to call the police. Just when Andrew was busy removing the electric wires, Angela turned around in front and did something that Andrew couldn’t imagine. She screamed,

“You have to die Bill…”

After saying that, Angela shot two times. The bullets pierced Bill's heart and fell down. Andrew stood there in shock.

“Bill, the story of your life is over. The best punishment for the murderer is murder!”

“What have you done Angela… what have you done??? I tried to convince you so many times but you didn’t understand, you didn’t listen to me. Now look what you did!!”

“I have no regrets for what I did, my dear. This should be the fate of such a cruel person!

“This is proof of my love for you, now I’m telling you why I hid the truth that Bill was my step brother, when you first told me the story of your life, I suspected that the doctor you spoke about was my step brother Bill.”

“So, one day I checked the list of all the doctors in that hospital & guess what, I found Bill’s data in the list. I couldn’t believe that he did that to your mom. I was burning with vengeance, first he ruined my life & then yours. I couldn’t stand that! So, I decided to take revenge on Bill for ruining our lives! I started to planning for how I’m going to do that & also I know that if I told you about my plan, you’ll never let me do that. So, that’s why I decided to keep the truth as a secret from you.”

“And I realized one more thing, you were right, Bill and I are from the same family. So although I am not directly involved in what happened to you and your family but I’m a relative of your family’s culprit and the murderer & I can't live with this stigma!!”

“So I decided to do this!!”

Angela pointed the gun in her head. Andrew was very frightened by Angela’s behavior. He didn’t know what to do. He tried to clam & convince Angela.

“Angela, my love. Please calm down! Let’s go home & take your medicine first. You are not conscious, you do not even understand what you are doing. Let’s get out of here before the police come!”

“No, Andrew, I’m fully in sense. 15 years ago, you had to die an unwanted death because of him, today it’s my turn!”

“Angela, stop it! Just stop it & let’s I home if you really love me!!”

“Andrew, my love. I love you so much! But as I said, I can’t live like this, I can't live with this stigma! Please forgive me. Goodbye Andrew, good bye forever…”

“ Nooo…. No Angelaaaa….”

Andrew went to stop Angela but it was too late. Angela shot herself in the head. His frozen body slowly fell to the ground, blood splattered all around. After 15 years, Andrew again saw a loved one die in front of his eyes. Every moment Andrew spent with Angela flashed before his eyes. What a beautiful time the two had spent together! Everything is over in a moment! Andrew sat down next to Angela’s corpse, tears streaming down his face. After a while, Andrew slowly disappeared into the air forever…

Life is ironic, isn’t it? Bill was a man who had led him and many others to unfortunate ends. If Bill had done the treatment of Andrew’s mother that day, Andrew and his family would be alive today. If he hadn’t beat & bullied Angela when she was young, Angela wouldn’t have had a mental disorder, Angela would have become a successful doctor instead of killing Bill & killing herself by committing suicide. Everyone could have survived, no one would have taken revenge on anyone.

Life is hard like this, where unfortunate consequences always befall people. This is the hard truth of life. This is called

“UNFORTUNATE CONSEQUENCE.”
