Eriana I walked into the diner four minutes before my scheduled start time and I practically skipped to the back. When I stepped into the kitchen, Ray was already in his apron and cooking up an order. I greeted him and he grunted in response. He wasn't a big talker, so I already knew that was about the most I would get from him right now. I sighed as I looked around the kitchen. The dishes piled up to the ceiling and there were twenty orders that needed to be made and served. I don't know why I insisted on staying at this job. I really hated it here.
