Eriana    The darkness around us retreated, allowing me to see the c*****e around us. Bodies displaced all about, the metallic tang of spilled blood replacing the darkness that previously surrounded us. I took in the scene, my heart aching for the devastating loss.  Many of the faces, I can not distinguish as their corpses were disfigured, an expression of terror etched into what’s left of their faces.  Ash stirred beside me, her wolf stumbling and shaking her head as she tried to shake off the haze of terror that engrossed her.  I saw other people begin stirring and trying to pull themselves out of the fog.
