I woke up to Derion’s arm wrapped tightly around me and a tiny body in front of me, snuggled into my chest. His warmth seeped into my back as I felt his breath on my neck. I craned my neck to look at the clock on the nightstand and it was almost time for Derion to get up. I knew he wouldn’t get up any earlier than he had to so I just settled myself back into position and closed my eyes but sleep just wouldn’t come to me.
I sighed and laid in the comfort sandwich of my family and thought about all of the things I needed to do today. The only real things I needed to do today were to find a dress for my ceremony and get started on Gia and Orion’s new house.
