Maisy stood in the courtyard of an ancient castle, surrounded by towering stone walls and a sense of unease settled in the pit of her stomach. She watched as her friend Emma walked away from her, her heart heavy with regret and remorse. Maisy had been unfair to Emma earlier, and now she needed to make amends.
Maisy took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and then slowly made her way towards Emma, who was standing on the other side of the courtyard. The sight of Emma's warm and welcoming expression gave Maisy a glimmer of hope, but she still felt nervous as she approached.
The courtyard was quiet, except for the sound of Maisy's footsteps echoing against the stone walls. The wind rustled through the trees, causing the leaves to whisper and dance. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the castle, giving it an almost magical appearance.
Finally, she stood before Emma, her eyes downcast, her voice trembling slightly as she spoke. Maisy's heart was pounding in her chest as she tried to find the right words to say.
"Emma, there you are," Maisy said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I was hoping to speak with you. Do you have a moment?"
Emma turned towards her, her eyes filled with kindness. "Of course, Maisy," she said gently. "What can I help you with?"
Maisy's eyes softened as she said, "I...I wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. I was wrong to speak to you that way, and I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"
Emma's smile grew wider, and she placed a comforting hand on Maisy's shoulder. "Of course, Maisy," she replied, her voice filled with compassion.
Maisy felt a wave of relief wash over her as she embraced her friend. "If there is anything you need, please let me know," she said, her voice filled with sincerity and gratitude.
"There is," Emma said with a smile. "What is it?"
Maisy's heart skipped a beat as she listened to Emma's request. "Well, I want you to get Lizzie here for me," Emma answered her tone light and teasing.
Maisy couldn't help but feel a little suspicious, wondering why Emma needed to see Lizzie all of a sudden. "You want me to bring her here, why?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity.
"Well, I want to apologize to her for what I got her into," Emma replied, her eyes filled with remorse.
Maisy nodded, relieved that she could help her friend make things right. As she left, something felt off; why would Emma all of a sudden want to help? Not long after, Maisy found Lizzie and said, "Lizzie, there you are," to which Misty replied with a simple "Hi." "Lizzie I want to ask if you can come with me," Maisy asked. "Sure but can I first talk to someone," Misty replied. "Sure," Maisy said. Not long after Misty came back. "How diD it go," Maisy asked. "Good, so we go now," Misty asked. "Alright, I am happy to see you," Maisy replied. With that, they went to Emma. "Lizzie good to see you," Emma said. "Eh well Same I guess," Misty replied. "Maisy can you leave us," Emma asked. "Sure she you guys later," Maisy said before leaving. As they looked at each other something felt off.
