The effects of a lie

491 Words
Lizzie was comfortably relaxing on her plush couch, casually scrolling through her phone as she caught up on the latest news updates. The room was quiet, and Lizzie felt safe and content in the familiarity of her home. Suddenly, a powerful wave of emotions crashed over her, leaving her feeling helpless and lost amidst a sea of confusion. The unfolding events seemed surreal and impossible to comprehend. Overwhelmed with the weight of the situation, Lizzie let out a heart-wrenching cry and called out to her friend Misty for comfort. Blaze, Lizzie's loyal and furry companion, sensed something was not right and quickly rushed to Lizzie's side. "What's wrong, Lizzie?" Blaze asked, his voice filled with concern. Through her tears, Lizzie managed to utter the words, "Misty's gone." Blaze was in disbelief. "How can this be real? It must be some kind of sick joke," he exclaimed in anger. "I wish it was. Look at your phone," Lizzie replied, handing him the device. "They can't get away with this. I have to go," Blaze said, his voice trembling with both anger and sadness before leaving. Days passed, and Lizzie was too heartbroken to leave her bed. Blaze was filled with rage and disbelief, and Misty's death was the final straw. He was determined to uncover the truth and make the culprits pay for their actions. But then, his phone rang. "Blaze, are you there?" James asked. "What's wrong, James?" Blaze replied. "You don't know? Look at the news," James said. "Oh no, that's terrible," Blaze said. "Can you come to our hideout?" James requested. "Sure," Blaze replied before ending the call. As time passed, things only grew worse. "Guys, we need help," Jack said, his voice shaking with fear. "Jack, are you okay?" Blaze asked, his concern growing. "No, someone is tampering with time," Jack whispered. "So you're saying someone is altering the timeline," James said. Before Jack could say more, he passed out. "Jack," Blaze yelled, his voice thick with fear. "He's bleeding," Ivan said, his face twisted with worry. "I don't think we can help him," James said, his tone heavy with sadness. "What are you saying? He's our friend," Blaze yelled. "You mean our dead friend," Ivan commented bitterly. "James, are you okay?" Blaze asked. "We need to go back home," James replied. "Sure," everyone in the room said in unison. As they returned home, they saw how reality had intertwined with fantasy. "Hello, everyone. My name is Lizzie, and I'm here to offer my help. Together, we can fix this," Lizzie said to the camera, her voice confident and reassuring. When the media saw this message, they requested an interview to discuss the events that were unfolding. Days went by, and Lizzie felt increasingly worse, knowing that her people were engulfed in a brutal civil war. With it taking millions of lives and worse the death of her best friend. She was in tears thinking about everything thing.
