CHAPTER 44

I watched as Lucas walked away feeling down. I was mad at myself for making him feel sad, I wanted to run after him to explain more to him but I didn't have any explanation. My feet were light as a feather as I walked to my room, my chest hurt as I plunged on the bed. Lucas's sad face flashed to my head, making me turn to wrap my blankets. I stood up before staring at the room, it was the room where my parents stayed before they were being killed. I walked towards the drawer before opening one of them, I dipped my hand to bring out a photograph of our mother with Alyssa, and father which made me chuckle slightly. I couldn't sleep as I strolled outside to notice Luke. “Hey,” Luke declared openly, turning to stare at me with a swollen face. “How do you feel?” he asked, making him smile.
