EP 4: Let The Games Begin

Episode 4 Vassago's POV "You're definitely going to have to choose one of us," I said, my laughter dying away. In all honesty, I was a bit disappointed that she wasn't scared of Death. “Or all four.” Casting a glance toward my brother, Death, I could almost read his dark, delicious thoughts regarding the fear he could conjure if he so desired. But to my surprise, he contained himself. "But what if I don't?" She asked again, a spark of hope igniting deep in her eyes. I shook my head and sighed. "Then you'll be taken to the Darkest Depths of Hell." My voice dropped a few notes lower as I continued on, my gaze capturing hers. "A place where demons rule, and only the strongest survive. You won't stand a chance down there." Her heart raced at my words. I heard it thumping from where I sat and cracked a grin. My mouth became moist from salivating over the aroma of her fear. And I thought about all the horrors that could be waiting for her in the darkest depths of Hell. Her cries of pain would become an aphrodisiac, stirring the libido of my brothers and me. Suddenly, a voice spoke up from the crowd. "What if she chose me?" Everyone turned to look at a low-level spirit cast into the bowels of hell. It stood tall and proud with its hands held confidently. A closer look inspection confirmed the entity was male. He looked as if he had been an angel or something of the sort, with eyes that shined brighter than any star in the sky. Narrowing my eyes, I replied slowly, "If the crowd chooses you as her mate . . . then she won't have to go." I paused for a moment before adding, "But she must answer three questions correctly first." The audience erupted into chatter. Seconds later, the little human female took a deep breath and stepped forward to face her fate. "What are the questions?" she asked with a slight waver in her voice. I chuckled darkly at her foxy. As the winner of the overall gauntlet, I had earned the right to question the tribute. So, I took a moment to consider the first question I would ask her. “Little human,” I said. “Which of us four is the most powerful demon?" She paused for a moment as if thinking carefully and answered confidently, "Apollyon." The crowd cheered, their voices growing to a deafening roar. “That I am.” My ass of a brother, Apollyon, smirked with satisfaction. Once more, I nodded, then asked the second question. "How many sins have you committed in your life?" She took her sweet time to answer, then once she opened her succulent mouth, she replied without hesitation, "I cannot answer that accurately since only God knows that number." "Well said," Kalki clapped approvingly as the audience applauded again. A thin smile split my lips. Then I asked the last question, which would end the formality of this round. "What is the most powerful weapon you possess?" This time, she didn't have to think twice about her answer. "Faith," she replied resolutely, and the crowd erupted into cheers. "Interesting response," said Azrael, with a hint of mischief in his voice. Mmm. The faithful always offer up the sweetest delights when they fall. I licked my lips at the thought of how she would taste. Are you sweet, savory, or a tad bit spicy with that attitude? “That concludes all the questions I have for her at the moment.” I shot a glance at my brothers. “What say you three?” They each, in turn, waved off the right to interrogate the tribute. In hindsight, it didn’t matter at this point because the little human was ours. I drew in a deep breath, tasting the air. Her essence lingered, then rode on the tip of my tongue. “Hmm.” A low throaty growl reverberated in my chest. I leaned next to War, so he could hear me. “She’s ripe, brother.” “Yes.” He nodded in agreement. “And she’s as sweet as dandelion pollen riding on a warm summer’s breeze.” The show’s announcer finally walked onto the stage from the perch he had watched this evening’s questions unfold. He offered a toothy smile, then nodded his head in my direction in a show of respect. "Very well, then,” said the announcer. “Human female.” “I have a name, ya know?” Sparks of anger danced in her bright eyes. “It’s Camilla.” She paused a moment, then said, “Camilla Signs.” The announcer’s expression remained impassive. He didn’t care what name the human had given, but I did. So, I ran it through my head several times. Slowly, I spoke it aloud in a soft whisper, Camilla.” “You have proven yourself worthy to move onto the next phase." He offered her a rehearsed smile that looked as lopsided as a carved punk in on all hallow’s eve. "And what does that involve?" she asked without pause. “Are you sure you want to know, little human?” Now, it was my time to ask a question. She nodded in response, and her eyelids widened. “And so you shall,” said the announcer. “Right after this commercial interruption by our sponsor.” A drone with a camera attached to it descended from the roof of the chute-formed cavern deep in the earth’s core. It hovered right in front of him, then a beep counted down. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. ”Are ya needing something to spark life into your weary palate?” he asked with a shiny smile. “If so, Devil's Own BBQ Sauce is just the thing you need to bring a little heat to your afterlife. Pick up a bottle of Devil's Own BBQ Sauce - now with extra sulfur!" The drone flew up into the air, only to be replaced by a second to the announcer’s left, which right on clockwork, he turned toward. With a smile plastered on his face, he spoke, “Welcome back viewer from hell. Stay tuned to this channel for all the latest updates.” He drew in a deep breath and then continued, “This century’s Find Your Mate show has brought in record numbers of viewers from all levels of Hell, including the pit. So, contestants, are you ready?” “No. Not really.” She shook her head. “Well, the show must go on.” He did a little spin, then focused on yet another drone camera. “Oh, what joy.” She rolled her eyes in utter disrespect. An unbecoming behavior my brothers and I would need to temper once we had claimed her. A quick glance at my brothers made me suspect they thought the same thing. Teaching her to become a good submissive would prove hard work, something I was sure of, but I was up for that challenge in more ways than one. Thoughts of spanking her came to mind. And as pale as she was, I was sure her ass would turn a tantalizing shade of pink. Plus, a handprint or two would sweeten the deal. I hadn’t even touched her yet, and already, the head of my d**k throbbed with a strong need to claim her. The desire to plunge into her velvety softness and experience her hot, tight, and wet little body firsthand, made my shaft grow painfully hard. “Okay. We all know what time it is.” Once again, he plastered a smile on his lips. “Do you know what time it is?” “Time for me to wake the f**k up in my bed?” Agitation coated her words, and bits of laughter rose from below the stage. “No, you silly goose,” the announcer said playfully. “The audience will now select a potential mate for you to interview. Aren’t you excited?” “Oh, yeah,” she replied. “I can barely contain myself.” “And to make things even more interesting, we now have a twist.” “Of course you do.” She scoffed. “In addition to the slated candidates on stage for your voting pleasure. We have one more lucky last-minute addition.” He glanced around the room, then said, "Sam Likely, please step forward. You’re the newest contestant of Find Your Mate.” The crowd broke out in a roar of cheers, shouts, and whistles, drowning out the words of the announcer. My gaze flicked from the little human tribute, who smelled like pure ecstasy and then took in the steely gazes of my brothers. “If he wins,” said Death, “I will vanquish the spirit’s ectoplasm and send it deep into the ether realm of Hell.”
