Taylor's POV.
My breath caught in my throat when I saw my mother sitting in front of me. I gulped down in shock as my jaw dropped open in momentary silence. It's been months since I last saw her; she left after Williams canceled my wedding with his son and made use of her past as an excuse. Standing in front of her now, I felt a deep sense of guilt and shame wash over me.
But then I wondered why she was there? Why did she ask that I was being brought to her? She could have easily talked to me over the phone or even texted me. Well, she didn't always care to talk to me when she was back from vacations, but this time was different, and I wondered why... the unknown reason kept me at the edge of my seat.
"Why are you standing? Don't tell me you are scared of your own mother?"
