Among the countless friends, acquaintances and diverse contacts that Daniel Olavarría cultivated was a “colleague” - if you could call him that - by the name of Stefano di Bari, who he visited periodically in Alhaurín prison. Convicted of theft and trafficking in works of art, inmate number 29648 was a well-known art thief who had “worked” all over Europe. He had been sentenced to four years after being set up and having fallen into the trap like he was born yesterday. Although the benefits he enjoyed in prison included a swimming pool, sports facilities, television in the cell and a special menu, he preferred to collaborate with the police and the Guardia Civil in exchange for a shorter stay in this excellent hotel.
