Carina's POV
Pear suddenly babbled something and hung up in a panic. I messaged and she took a long time to reply to me, in short she would take care of it, tell me not to worry and so on.
How could I not be worried. It was Eric's birthday party that Karen had invited me to, and I asked Pear to help me attend once, and then this happened. If I did attend, how could I ensure my own safety.
Lester-Watson I've met a few times, he and I went to the same college and was a good friend of Eric's for many years. I had the impression that he was a playboy, but it wasn't like he'd force himself on anyone, and Eric, despite his general attitude toward me, was a trustworthy person, and his friends were no worse. So it's possible that both of them are being counted on by Eric.
