Eric's pov.
Life is beautiful, Carina was resting on my arm, she was lying on my side. We were so close, I was enveloped in the scent of her roses, her blue gem-like eyes sparkling. She closed her eyes and pretended to be resting, her eyelashes flapping carelessly, and I knew she wasn't asleep. I gently stroked her cheek and tucked some of her hair behind her head.
"What for." She opened her eyes briefly, only to slap my hand.
"Ah!" I exclaimed in a very exaggerated manner, rolling over in one smooth motion and wrapping her completely in my arms. I wrapped my arms around Carina, ignoring her struggles, and pressed my whole body weight on her, wishing at this moment that I was a cage that would hold Carina to me for the rest of her life.
