“Rose?”
Nothing.
Then a muffled groan. “Ahh… let me sleep.”
Relief washed through me.
Rose’s POV
Rafael kept nudging me awake, his voice breaking through the fog of sleep until I finally groaned and turned toward him. I heard him let out a shaky breath.
"AHH..let me sleep"

“Rose… you scared me. Why didn’t you answer earlier?”
His eyes were tight with worry.
“I’m just tired. That’s all.”
“You’ve been sleeping all day.”
“I know… I barely slept,” I said, teasing him with a small smile. “A certain someone kept me awake.”
He didn’t smile back. The worry in his eyes only deepened.
“Rafael, what’s wrong?”
