Powers? What powers? What is Laken hiding from me? In all the years I have watched her grow up, I have never seen her use any powers. Yes, there were rumors at Mountain Moon, but I never seen with my own eyes.
“Do you know the real reason the kids at Mountain Moon bullied me?” she asked me, pulling me to my desk. She gently pushed me down into my chair and sat on my lap. I could get used to this. “I am bullied because of my powers, which I used when my mom was at war with a rogue Alpha and caused him to lose his pack. He attacked the pack, and we were in the bunkers when it happened. I snuck out and found mom on the ground, on the verge of being killed by that asshole.
