Panther’s POV
The music was jamming in my ears as I hit the weights hard while I worked out. The gym was buzzing with all the warriors at Mountain Moon working out, doing their best to keep their bodies in the best condition possible. I was doing leg squats when my phone rang. I hit my earbud to answer.
“Panther here,” I answered.
“Is that how you answer the phone to me?” I heard Laken’s voice over the phone.
“I’m sorry, your royal pain in my ass,” I chuckled. She giggled into the phone. “How is life as a queen?”
“Completely different from what mom had to deal with,” she answered me. “But I didn’t call to socialize. I have a job for you, and we will pay you.” She got my attention when she said she had a job. It has been years since I had a bounty that made my life exciting.
