Episode 1 The Scent Of Betrayal
The night I found the perfume on Adrian’s jacket, the world tilted. It was faint at first, a whisper of jasmine that clung to the fabric, but it wasn’t mine. I held the jacket to my chest and breathed it in again, hoping my mind was playing tricks on me. But hope is a cruel liar. The scent was foreign, and with it came the crack of a thousand promises breaking.
I waited for him to come home. When he did, his smile so easy, so familiar nearly undid me. For a heartbeat, I wanted to believe nothing had changed. That he was still mine, still the man who once looked at me like I was his entire universe. But the jacket in my hands was proof that universes collapse.
“Who is she?” I asked, my voice trembling.
Adrian froze. Just for a second, but I saw it. The guilt in his eyes. The silent confession before words could even form.
“Elena” he began, but I cut him off, my chest burning with betrayal.
“You promised me forever,” I whispered, and for the first time, I saw fear on his face not of losing everything, but of realizing he already had.
