CHAPTER 10: PATRICK

Patrick hurried after Annie but she ducked into a bathroom. He leaned against the wall. She wasn’t going to get rid of him that easily. He had a mission and he was going to honor it, even if he ended up with a chronic case of blue balls or, with the mood she was in, she might remove them entirely.
After what seemed like an hour, Annie came out of the bathroom. She’d been crying again and he stuffed his hands in his pockets to stop from pulling her into his arms.
“Take me home.” She flushed slightly.
He couldn’t stop his eyes from raking over her body. He wanted to take her home and take her—in many ways and many positions.
“You know what I meant. Actually? Forget it.” She headed down the hallway. “I’ll get an Uber.”
“I’ll take you home.” He trailed afte
