Annie glanced around before entering the room. Jake was supposed to meet her here for lunch. She’d wanted some privacy. Maybe, they’d make out a bit and she could quit thinking about Patrick. He wasn’t available, not to her anyway. Her phone beeped and she pulled it from her pants pocket. She wasn’t supposed to carry her personal one when working, but Julie wasn’t around and the nighttime supervisor didn’t care. She may have to convince Ethan to let her work evenings all the time. It was much nicer without Julie’s constant harping.
JAKE: Sorry. Can’t make it today. Tomorrow?
ANNIE: Maybe.
