My heart pounded in my chest. I tried to quiet my breathing but I feared I was too loud because I was panting so hard. To run while feeling like a 200 pound animal was really hard. I tried really hard to run as fast as I could. The blood rushed to my ears and I was beginning to feel woozy and nauseous from all the running. I found a huge tree and hid in its roots, covering my eyes. Lucas would save me if he wasn't too mad. I directly disobeyed his orders. I took a peek to find that the bodyguard chasing me was nowhere to be seen. Phew. That was a close call.
