The next morning Alec was running errands with the pack, I was writing in my journal, my mind was racing today. I heard my phone ring, causing me to drop my pen and pick it up.

"Hello?" I asked, I didn't check caller ID

"Alison, its Henderson," Alpha Henderson responded.

I frowned wondering why he was calling me, my heart began to pound, "Why are you calling? What's wrong?"

"It's your father Alison, your father has been injured, are you able to come see him. He isn't in goodshape."

"Oh God, okay. Let me talk to Alec," I explained before hanging up.

My body was shaking as I stood up, my body began to tremble, just then I heard Alec's footsteps. I gathered he could sense my uneasiness, when he saw me, he instantly ran over towards me and pulled me into his chest.

"What's the matter?" Alec asked.

"My... my dad, he's been injured. He isn't doing to well, Henderson just called me," I replied.

I couldn't lose my father, not now, "Okay, I will organise for you to go. Give me a few minutes and we'll get ready to go," Alec replied.

"But your pack," I responded, I didn't want them to hate me even more like some do.

Alec shook his head, "No, you are my mate and my pack has Sonia who can lead them for a few days. Right now, I have to be next to you."

I wanted to protest, but I knew that I needed him. I took a deep breath and messaged Harrison that I was on my way with Alec and a few pack members for safety in case something happens.

When we arrived at my old pack, I didn't hesitate to run home, I needed to see my father. Alec, Joseph and Samara followed me without hesitation as well, as soon as I got to my old home, Harrison and Jacob were waiting for me, instantly we hugged, Harrison held me for a few minutes.

"How is he?" I asked Jacob as I stepped back.

Alec gently wrapped an arm my wasit keeping him close to me, I don't think he liked the hug Harrison gave me, but when Jacob did the same to Harrison, Alec let go of a harder grip.

"He's fighting, but we aren't sure, if that will be enough to survive," Jacob replied.

"What happened?" Alec asked.

Jacob gulped lightly, "He was training some new wolves that came of age, he heard something and went to check. When he came back, there was a black claw mark on his side, he start coughing up blood asking for you. We called you as soon as we could," Jacob replied.

I took a deep breath, looking over at Alec, his eyes seemed fixed on something, "Go see your father Alison, I want to have a little chat with Henderson."

I nodded while Samara stepped closer towards me as Joseph went with Alec, Harrison and Jacob allowed me inside. Walking into my old house, I went straight to his bedroom knowing he would be there, as I stepped inside I noticed a woman sitting next to him.

"Who? Who are you?" I asked.

The woman smiled at me, standing up, I noticed she was very short, about 5'4, her black skin shined a little.

"My name is Brooklyn, I was asked to come here by Henderson after this happened. Are you his daughter?" Brookyln asked.

"Yes," walking over to my father, I instantly grabbed his hand. "I'm here dad, I'm here." I kneeled on the ground beside him placing my head on the bed.

"I heard that you are half witch, is that true?" Brooklyn asked.

"Yes, my mother was a witch. I'm guessing you are, the way you are dressed is similar to how my mother would dress," my head didn't move from my father.

I honestly felt sick to my stomach, seeing him like this. I also wondered what Alec was discussing with Henderson. I heard a groan from my father causing me to look him in the eyes.

"Hey, I'm here. Who did this to you?" I asked.

My father coughed into his free hand, his eyes meeting mine, "I'm guessing you used one of your witch abilites, as it opened something up, something dark and it wants you."

Staring at my father in shock, how could someone be after me? I haven't done anything, "Me? But I haven't done anything,"

"I believe it's something to do with you being half witch and half wolf. You are stronger than most and some like taking advantage of that, where's your mate Alpha Alec?" My father asked coughing once again.

"He's speaking with Henderson about who attacked you. We had the same happen to one of his pack members. I used a spell to try and find him and what happened, I heard a voice and when I came out of it, I could still hear him," I responded.

My father coughed once more, I felt Brooklyns hand on my shoulder, "You should let your father rest, I need to finish healing him. Will you please give us some space, go to your mate."

I kissed my father's forehead before standing up, "I will come see you later, okay."

Leaving the room, I made my way outside where Samara was waiting for me, "Can you take me to Alec?"

Samara nodded and began walking ahead, I took one more glance at my old home before heading off following Samara. But I kept thinking about what my father said, they are after me. Why? What's so important about me?

Samara and I made it to Alpha Hendersons house, making our way inside, we walked up the stairs and straight to his office. Knocking on the door, the voices in the room grew quiet and the sound of someone walking to the door.

The door opened to reveal Angel, one of Hendersons scouts. I noticed Alec in the corner, the look on his face was not pleasant, he looked angry.

"Alison, come on in, how's your father?" Alpha Henderson asked.

Walking inside, I closed it behind me once Samara was in, "He's okay, Brookyln is attending to his wounds."

Alec held his hand out for me, instantly I walked over to him and grabbed it before he pulled me into his chest. His warm lips on the top of my head, he wrapped an arm around my chest keeping me in place.

"How do we find those who are harming our members?" Alec asked.

Henderson looked at him, "I'm not sure, but what you've told me. Seems to be all our situations, it happens out of the blue and we don't have time to react," his eyes wondered to me, "Could you do a spell to find them?"

I could feel eyes on me, I took a deep breath, "I'm not sure, the last time I tried seeing images. I fainted, I'm not as practiced in magic as I thought it would have been. But I'm sure, I could find a spell somewhere that could help, but you'll have to give me a few hours to find it."

"Are you sure you're okay doing this? I mean with your father, you spells might be all over the place?" Alec asked.

Looking up to him, "I have too, I need to find out and need answers just like you want."

His eyes met mine before he sighed, "Okay, but you have to tell me if it gets too much for you alright."

"Of course," I replied as I looked back to Alpha Henderson. "Once I have found a spell, I'll let you know."

Alpha Henderson nodded, I felt Alec's arm drop from my chest before he grabbed my hand entwining his fingers with mine. The two of us walked out followed by Samara and Joseph.
