Waking Up

Levi’s POV   Waking up had never been this hard, I’m pretty sure the moment I open my eyes my stomach was going to explode out of my mouth. Nauseous didn’t seem like the right word to describe the horrible feeling running through my body. If I had to pick between feeling this for even a week and dying, someone better stab me through the heart right now. And the taste in my mouth, my goddess it’s a miracle I haven’t vomited everything I’ve ever consumed. Tasting like something died in my mouth wasn’t descriptive enough for how bad it tasted. It tastes like someone stuffed an entire graveyard worth of corpses in my mouth and just left them to decay in the hot sun. “Please tell me you feel as bad as I do, I shouldn’t have to suffer this alone.” I hear Sebastian ask, the sounds of him trying not to vomit as he did so obvious. “Depends, have you opened your eyes yet?” There was a groan. “I haven’t. I need to use the restroom and I’ve been debating how much longer I can hold it. Why didn’t Sandalphon warn us?” I know why, because no one would choose to go through this torture. “I see you still haven’t gotten up yet. How do you both feel?” If I was sure I wouldn’t ruin my glare by passing out, I’d have done so. Sandalphon sounded like this amused him, he never sounded amused. “Is this normal?” “Unfortunately, yes, it lasts for sometime though most sleep through it. You both awoke early. It is only the third day.” Before my mind could tell my eyes what a bad idea it was, my eyes shot open. It felt like someone was stabbing me repeatedly in the eyes all the way to my brain. By the goddess, please end this suffering. “What do you mean three days? How long were we to sleep? Why did you not warn us?” I ask as I attempt to stand. “You were supposed to sleep for a week, though the fact you’ve woken early is a testament to your strength.” Sandalphon doesn’t look amused though he had sounded like it. He was his normal self, making him as hard to read as usual. “So, this should go away soon?” I ask glancing at Sebastian who had yet to get up much less open his eyes. “After the week yes, however with you waking early I could see if my sister can help.” I collapse face first into the floor. “Go get her, I have work to do.” Sandalphon left and I managed to turn my head to Sebastian. He had his eyes closed and was taking calming breathes. “Trying to go back to sleep?” I ask. “Anything to not feel this. Do you think Mana has a sleeping spell or something?” I hope so if she doesn’t have something else to fix this. When Frost arrived I felt hope blossom in my chest. Please let her make this better. “You two are fools.” She said kneeling down by me first and worked her magic into my body, all I had been feeling vanished and I let out a deep sigh. “Always a fool for you mate.” I mumble as my body goes limp and sleep takes me again. When I wake it’s to a familiar feeling that I hadn’t expected to feel again. I lean up and look over at the feeling next to me. Frost was laying next to me on her bed with Sebastian on the other side of her. She was snoring softly while Sebastian was awake and simply looking down at her affectionately. “I believe we may have worried her.” I nod, reaching out to gently stroke her cheek. She doesn’t stir so I decide to lay down again, my arm thrown over her body. Sebastian’s arm joins mine and we stay there relaxing until she wakes up. She wakes slowly, rolling around to curl into one of our sides seeming unable to decide which one she wants to cuddle. When she wakes up, she shoots up looking surprised. “You’re awake, do you feel better?” She asks, looking ready to bolt for bringing us to her bed. “Much better, we should do this more often.” Sebastian said pulling Frost back into bed. “Without the feeling like dying part.” I agree before pressing a kiss to Frost’s cheek. “W-we can do that…we should probably get up. The pack needs their alpha and I need to go into town.” I groan, of course I have to catch up on everything I’d missed. “Take Sebastian with you.” I tell her as I stand up to stretch. “I don’t need a bodyguard.” She complains. “I know, but if he gets this alone time with you next time it’s my turn.” I tell her because I didn’t want to make her angry. I was still worried about Leon going after her. She couldn’t fight against him if he decided to go after her again.
