Chapter Three

SOLD Amanda POV The next day, I woke up to the scent of hot tea. I rubbed my eyes a little, bringing back my conscience and reigniting my sight to the fullest. I turned to my left, and there on the side table was a tray. The tray contained a cup with ginseng tea and an expensive dish of rabbit soup and fleshy meat, just the way I like it. There was no sight of the stranger, only a note sticking out beside the plate. It read, “Dear Mary, we might not have known each other for long, but meeting you has been the best time of my life. I wish I could stay a lot longer, but my people need me, and I promise that someday we will meet, and then I will never let go of you. Your stranger:”. He really wanted to hide his identity from me. Not like I cared, but it seems appropriate for me to know his name. After taking a shower, I headed back home. The surroundings of the house weren’t quite the welcoming type. I could see the neighbors looking at me with both pity and humility. What a way to end the mating ceremony! Ignoring the eerie glance, I walked into the house. The gaze of my stepmother weeping in a corner of the house was quite exhilarating. I didn’t believe such could happen. Moving closer to her, I realized that Kevin's order had been officiated and I was to arrive at the palace in an hour. Turning her head, she spotted me. She cleaned the tears in her eyes, then looked straight at me. “Why did you have to do this to me?” she mentioned with her hands wrapped on top of each other. “Your daughter stole him from me. There was Nothing I could do at that moment”, I replied. “I don’t care about that. Who is going to be cleaning the house when you are taken to hell? Do you think this house will clean itself? For all I care, I can plead with Kevin to spare you, but you have to ensure this house is sparkling even if it takes your life," her words resonating in my ears. “You only care about yourself and that useless daughter of yours. Who do you think you are? Because my dad married you, doesn’t mean you have even the slightest right over me?” I let out in anger. My stepmother stared at me, amazed by what I had just done. “How dare you talk to your mother like that?” my father's voice came roaring down. Before I could take a step, a slap landed on my cheeks. I stared at him, outraged by his action. “She is not my mother, and I doubt I even have a father," I yelled, walking out of the house. I could hear my father calling out to me, but all I could think of was escaping the pack. After several turns, I could see the exit, which led to the neighboring pack. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me but ended up stopping halfway through. The exit had suddenly been fully guarded to prevent anyone from leaving. With that, I only had one more option, which was the gate of the canyon. It was really dangerous, with a one percent chance of exiting, but it was my only option to avoid being sold to the most cruel Alpha ever known. “And where do you think you’re going?” The sound of a thick masculine voice sent me jumping. They were guards tasked with apprehending me, and they weren’t smiling at the very least. I arrived at Kevin’s mansion, which I regarded as his palace of sin. It was quite the texture, brewing with colors that could attract any werewolf, no matter the character. The guards had me walk in cuffs as they believed I would try putting up a distraction and flee once more. Kevin had really put it to them; they never let me out of sight. "What do we have here?" Kevin spoke as I walked into the mansion. "It's just our sacrificial pawn to strengthen the bond between our pack and that of the Crescent Moon pack. My unlovable Step sister," Jessica interrupted. She had rushed to the entrance just so she could see me in cuffs and disgrace the hell out of me. "I don't have anything to say to the both of you. Just because I'm weak doesn't mean I can't fight back; I definitely can," I yelled out. "I doubt you can do anything with your hands cuffed," Kevin chuckled. I just wished I could wipe the grin that came after off his face. After rejecting me, he wanted to sell me out as a peace offering to the cruelest Alpha ever known. "Guards get this cheap stake out of my face. The thought of her wearing her shame into this mansion is very disheartening. I can't take it any more," Jessica mumbled. Kevin adhered to her request, and with the snap of his finger, I was blindfolded and thrown into the back seat of a black Jeep. "I can't believe you were going to try conversing with someone of her caliber," Jessica let out before fuming back into the mansion. The car began to move, and I began to tremble. I couldn't see, and I couldn't move. I was helpless and on my way to become a slave to the Crescent Moon Pack Alpha. I never thought I would end up being a slave to the cruelest and most nastiest werewolf the werewolf generation had ever generated. After hours of driving, the car came to a halt. With the aid of some guards, whom I believed had a tobacco scent, I was brought out of the car and led into the bewildered fortress (their territory). "Is this the lady who Kevin said would earn me fortunes?" A terrifying and domineering voice penetrated my ears. "Yes, sir, this is her," the guard spoke up. "Prove it," his words commanding. "How, sire?" the guard shivered in fear. "Strip her".
