Emily's gentle touch sparked a flutter in Matt's chest. He covered her hand, his eyes locking onto hers, filled with warmth.
Suddenly, the lights flickered ominously. Shadows danced across the walls like dark specters. The air thickened, heavy with foreboding.
"Matt?" Emily whispered, unease creeping into her voice.
A chilling whisper echoed through the room: "Matthew..." The sound sent shivers down Emily's spine.
Malcolm's presence swirled around them, a malevolent force stirring. Matt's eyes turned icy, his pupils dilating.
"He's back," Matt hissed, his voice barely recognizable.
Emily's grip tightened, desperation creeping in. "No, Matt. Don't let him in. Fight it!"
Matt's face twisted, his body tensing. Malcolm's influence grew, suffocating.
Dr. Lee burst into the room, her eyes blazing with concern. "Matt, fight it! Resist Malcolm's control!"
But Matt's body contorted, his eyes blackening. Emily screamed, horror-stricken.
Malcolm's malevolent spirit consumed Matt, darkness enveloping him. The shadows closed in, suffocating.
Emily's world crumbled. "Matt, no! Come back to me!"
Dr. Lee grasped Emily's shoulders, pulling her away. "We must protect you. Matt's no longer in control."
As Emily stumbled back, Matt's voice growled, menacing. "Emily... mine..." Malcolm's presence had taken hold.
The darkness deepened, engulfing them. Emily's heart shattered.
