Chapter Forty-Five
I was on my way to the Cu-Ala Resort located near the city. Karen told me that Alder will be celebrating his party and that everyone is invited. The whole school was invited to be exact. Armin wasn’t talking to me and I figured he needed space maybe. “Julia! You made it!” Alder exclaimed waving at me and at the same handing me a glass of iced tea. “I thought you weren’t going to show up!” Sean exclaimed hugging my side. I turned to the guy next to him. Jared and he was looking away with his usual calm collected face. I nodded and averted my attention to Sean. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” He smiled widely. “Eat anything you like okay?” “Yeah. They have like tons of food here. Right?” Sean said arching an arm over Alder’s shoulder. He smiled in response. “I will. Thank you.” I
