Chapter Thirty-Eight
Tuesday came and I was surprised when everyone in the club started talking about Jared being absent. I frowned. Why won’t she come today anyway? It’s not like I’ve done something bad again. The other day, when I gave her the necklace, I decided not to tire her that much already after finding out about her health. “Jared!” I turned to face the familiar voice of Sean. “What?” I lightly rolled my eyes at him. He suddenly grabbed my collar and pulled it sideward to peek inside me – literally INSIDE ME. I pushed him away. “What do you think you’re doing?!” I yelled and he furrowed his brows. “It was yours.” He tapped the tip of his chin. “What?” “You really gave your pendant to Julia?” he suddenly asked.
