ARIELLE'S POV
As I stood in the large sitting room, I couldn't help but marvel at the exotic items that adorned every sphere of the Room. I was amazed with my mouth open. The chandelier dangling above me was one of its kind. I could bet it was worth thousands of money. The large television screen sitting on the wall across me was almost the length of my entire room. I marveled, swallowing hard.
"Are you alright?" Derek asked. His lips were parted wide as he spoke, revealing his Sparkling dentures. My eyes locked with his, sending goosebumps through me. I blushed a bit and immediately lowered my eyes from him.
"Yes I'm alright. I'm just in awe as to the magnitude and Beauty of your house. Do you live here alone with your family or are there others who lives here with you?
Derek laughed, sinking into the space just beside me. His eyes glinted in the light as he remained mute. I was starting to feel uncomfortable by the silence that was blooming between us.
"Nah, it's only me and my family living here," he replied and went mute again. His hands drew closer towards me until there was only a few centimeters gap from us. My heart began to thump heavily against my chest and it felt like it was going to explode anytime soon.. I took a deep breath in a bid to help calm myself but it didn't seem to work.
"Oh, that's cool. How do you manage not to get lost, especially in a place as big as this?" I asked again, Unable to fathom that they had no one but then living in that house.
"Come on. Stop teasing. Would you like something to eat by the way?" He pulled towards me, causing my heart to jump again. My eyes flickered continuously as I swallowed hard.
"No… I told.. you I wasn't hungry right? You should go on to eat. I'll be fine here." My voice Quavered under his presence, leaving me confused as to what had suddenly come over me.
"No, that's not right. I won't have you come all the way here without Gavin something to eat. Come on, just tell me what you want and I'll have the chef make it right away," he assured with a wide grin that revealed his dentures. I blushed, wondering how I came to have such Handsome and caring person as my boyfriend. It still left me in awe and I was sure it was going to continue that way. I rolled my eyes, a deep sigh escaping from my lips.
"Alright then, if you insist, I'll have some snacks."
"Are you sure? You can get something else if you want. Don't feel shy or embarrassed."
"It's fine. Snacks is fine." I assured him and off he went in the direction of the Kircj. As he Sauntered across the large sitting room, I couldn't help but admire the way he walked and moved his legs against the tiled floor. His movement was smooth and left me euphoric.
I was still trying to process various thoughts when an old aged woman walked up to me with a smile on her face. "Good evening young lady. How may I help you?" She smiled at me, baring her teeth that were scattered all over her mouth. Her smile was quite Contagious that I didn't realize when I smiled as well.
"Good evening ma. I'm Derek's friend and I had come here with him." I became quite uncomfortable as her stare etched deeper and deeper into me like she was trying to read through me with her eyes.
"Derek? Wow! I never knew Derek had friends because I had never see any of them with him. You must be so special for him to have you follow him home."
I blushed, unable to believe my ears. It only affirmed what I already knew. Derek was mine and mine alone. The thought of it alone sent me through wave and wave of excitement.
Her lips parted again and she was going to speak when Derek Walked out of the kitchen. "Nanny!" He shrieked, his eyes almost popping out of their socket. I froze, my heart almost jumping out of my chest. I couldn't understand why he had to yell that way.
"Derek. What's up with you? You didn't tell me you had a guest." She fixed a sinister look on him.
"That's because I'm just meeting you. I thought you said you're heading to your grandson?" Derek chipped in. I could see the discomfort on his face. A sweat broke on his chin as he stared.
"Yeah. I was just about leaving. I was waiting for Jeffery to arrive so he could drive me.."
"Okayy. That's fine. You make sure you have a great time and don't return until you have fully enjoyed yourselves," he muttered and we all burst into laughter. The old woman fixed her eyes on me and had this expression like she wanted to tell me something but then I didn't notice it. I continued to grin like I was some she goat.
Derek walked her to the door while I remained put. They both were saying something bit the distance between us wasn't so close so I couldn't hear what it was they were talking about.
He returned a few minutes later, flashing his brightest smile at me.
"Would you like to take a tour of the house?"
"Oh sure. I'll love that." I rose to my feet, took a long breath and locked my hand in his hand that had been stretched out to receive mine.
We headed through the down floor and were done within a jiffy. I stood, amazed and didn't realize when we got on the stairs that led to the first floor of the house. I could feel Derek's hand against my back and yes, it felt good. No words or explanation. I wasn't dumb and neither am I fool.
