It’s the twenty-first century, for Selene’s sake.” Selene. The name stuck in my head like a splinter. Before I could even think about asking what that meant, Callum had already taken my hand and started leading me away. Behind us, Hannah’s voice shot up, sharp and angry, but the music and chatter swallowed most of it before I could make out the words. I didn’t look back. I didn’t need to see her face to know she was furious. Callum kept walking until the noise from the party faded behind us
