One to the face, One to the chest.    I mean it is what I get for disagreeing with them, but they can't expect me to leave Lilly here on her own. Lilly is my younger sister, or well, not my blood sister but she means more to me than anyone. She's five and the purest person I know, she doesn't deserve to let Mary and John's filthy hands get on her. Mary and John, my "parents". They aren't my biological parents but I have to be grateful they even took me in, not the nicest folk out there but at least I have a roof over my head, right? "Do you have any idea how hard we worked to gain all those business partners?!"  John pushed my head into the edge of the kitchen island, which caused the left side of my head to start bleeding. The next moment was almost like in slow motion. I was able to see from my peripheral vision, Mary was grabbing the expensive glass on the side table and lifting it above her head, her mouth opened in scream state and her eyes showed pure anger.   It was almost as if- I instantly covered Lilly by hugging here, exposing my back to the glass that shattered against my body. The hit made my body bulge forward, still hugging Lilly, I whispered "It's all okay, just go upstairs and I'll talk to mum and dad yeah." With that she gave me one last pitiful look, to which I reacted with a full blown smile to assure her it was all okay, then she ran up the stairs wiping her tears and not looking back. As soon as I heard her door slam shut, I slowly stood up and turned around to face my so called "parents". ...There goes my patience...
