Chapter 6

1272 Words
"I'm pregnant, Asher," Hazel announced, a sly smile spreading across her face. Asher's eyes widened in shock. "What? How is that possible?" Hazel shrugged. "I've been planning this for a while. I knew you'd be a great father." Daisy's voice trembled as she confronted Asher. "Is it true? You got her pregnant?" Asher hesitated, guilt written all over his face. "Daisy, I—" "Tell me the truth, Asher!" Daisy demanded. Asher sighed. "Okay, fine. Hazel and I...it was a mistake. I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing." Daisy's eyes welled up with tears. "You lied to me, Asher. You said you were done with her." Asher reached out, but Daisy pushed him away. "I need time to think, Asher. I don't know if I can trust you again." Mason's voice dripped with malice as he spoke to Hazel. "I'll help you raise your child, Hazel. We'll make sure Asher pays for what he's done." Hazel's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Thank you, Mason. Together, we'll destroy Asher and Daisy's relationship." As the secrets and lies continued to unravel, Daisy and Asher's love hung in the balance. Would they be able to overcome the challenges ahead, or would their relationship be destroyed by the secrets and lies surrounding them? Asher paced back and forth in his room, trying to make sense of his actions. "How could I have been so reckless?" he muttered to himself. Just then, his phone rang. It was Mason. "Asher, you're a fool for thinking you can protect Daisy. She's not as innocent as she seems." Asher's grip on the phone tightened. "What are you talking about, Mason?" "Everyone knows about her past, Asher. And soon, everyone will know about your little secret with Hazel." Asher's face twisted in anger. "You're just trying to hurt Daisy. But it won't work." Meanwhile, Daisy sat in her room, tears streaming down her face. "How could he do this to me?" she whispered. There was a knock at the door. It was Asher. "Daisy, please listen to me. I know I messed up, but I love you. I'll do anything to make it right." Daisy's eyes flashed with anger. "Anything? Really? Because it seems like you're still lying to me, Asher." Asher took a step back, his eyes wide with fear. "What are you talking about?" "Don't play dumb, Asher. I know about Hazel's pregnancy. And I know it's yours." Asher's face went white. "Daisy, please—" But Daisy cut him off. "No, Asher. I need time to think. And I don't want to see you right now." As Asher left the room, he felt a chill run down his spine. He knew he had to do something drastic to win Daisy back. But what? Asher walked into Hazel's house, his jaw clenched in anger. "Hazel, we need to talk." Hazel smiled sweetly. "Oh, Asher. What's wrong?" "You know exactly what's wrong," Asher spat. "You're pregnant, and you're using it to manipulate me." Hazel's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "I'm just trying to secure my future, Asher. And my child's future." "By ruining my relationship with Daisy?" Asher demanded. "That's not going to happen, Hazel. I won't let you." Hazel laughed. "You're too late for that, Asher. The damage is already done." Just then, Daisy appeared at the door, her eyes blazing with anger. "Hazel, you're a monster." Hazel smirked. "And you're just a fool, Daisy. You'll never be able to keep Asher. He's mine now." Daisy's eyes flashed with determination. "We'll see about that." As the tension between the three of them escalated, it was clear that things were about to get ugly... Daisy took a step closer to Hazel, her voice low and even. "You're not going to win, Hazel. Asher loves me, not you." Hazel sneered, rolling her eyes. "Please, Daisy. Asher's just using you for convenience. He'll never truly love you." Asher's face twisted in anger. "That's not true, Hazel. And even if it was, it's none of your business." Hazel's smile grew wider. "Oh, but it is my business. You see, Asher and I have a connection. A connection that you'll never understand." Daisy's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?" Hazel leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Asher and I have a child together. And that child is going to change everything." Asher's face went white, his eyes fixed on Hazel in horror. "No, Hazel. That's not true." But Hazel just laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Oh, but it is true, Asher. And soon, everyone will know." Daisy zipped up her suitcase, her eyes fixed on Asher. "I'm leaving, Asher. I can't do this anymore." Asher's face contorted in desperation. "Daisy, please don't go. My baby is in your womb. You can't just leave me like this." Daisy's voice was firm. "I can't deal with this, Asher. You're a playboy. You'll always be a playboy. I won't raise my child in this environment." Asher grasped her arm, his eyes pleading. "Daisy, I'll change. I swear. I'll do whatever it takes to make this work." Daisy shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. "No, Asher. You won't change. You'll always be who you are. And I won't risk my child's happiness for your promises." Asher's grip tightened. "Daisy, please. Don't do this." Daisy wrenched her arm free. "I'm going, Asher. And I won't come back." With that, she turned and walked out of the mansion, leaving Asher standing alone in the foyer, his face etched with despair. Asher faced Hazel, his eyes cold and detached. "You're going to have my baby? Fine. I'll leave you to give birth to the child like all your other baby mamas." Hazel smirked, her eyes glinting with triumph. "Oh, Asher. You're so predictable." Asher's voice dripped with disdain. "You wanted the title, Hazel. But you'll never have my heart. You're meant for the streets, not for me." Hazel burst into laughter, her voice echoing through the room. "You wish, baby Daddy. You're mine now." Asher's face darkened, his eyes flashing with annoyance. "I'll never be yours, Hazel. You're just a mistake." Hazel's laughter continued to ring out, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "We'll see about that, Asher. We'll see about that." Asher's jaw clenched, his fists tightening at his sides. He turned to leave, but Hazel's next words stopped him. "You can't just walk away, Asher. We have a child to raise together." Asher's eyes narrowed. "I'll provide for the child, Hazel. But that's all." Asher's mind raced as he walked away from Hazel's mocking laughter. "I love Daisy," he thought to himself. "I can't just lose her over a mistake I made with Hazel." He quickened his pace, his heart pounding in his chest. "My child is in her womb. I don't want her to leave me. I want her by my side, with our kids." As he approached his car, he pulled out his phone and dialed Daisy's number. It rang several times before she answered. "Asher, what do you want?" her voice was cold and distant. Asher took a deep breath. "Daisy, please don't go. I know I messed up, but I love you. I want us to raise our child together." There was a pause on the other end of the line. "Asher, I need time to think. I can't just forget what you did." Asher's grip on the phone tightened. "I know, Daisy. I'm not asking you to forget. I'm asking you to forgive me. Please, don't leave me." The line went silent again, and Asher's heart sank. Had he lost her forever?
