Chapter 4:

Daisy tried calling Emilia, but her number was unreachable. She wondered if Emilia had lost her phone or was avoiding her. Daisy needed to confide in her friend about her blossoming relationship with Asher and their passionate night together. Meanwhile, at Emilia's house, Mason burst into her room, his face twisted in anger. "Where is my wife?" he demanded, his voice trembling with rage. "You must know where she is, Emilia!" Emilia stood her ground, despite the fear evident in her eyes. "Leave me alone, Mason! I'm not your wife's keeper!" Mason pushed Emilia onto a chair and snatched her phone. He scrolled through their conversation, his expression darkening. "So, you and my wife planned to move in with Mr. Asher? I'll make sure he regrets crossing me!" Emilia's voice trembled. "Don't you dare, Mason! You have no right to control her life. You barely take care of her and have left her bruised and broken. You're a monster!" Mason's face reddened, and he slammed his fist on the table. "Get out of my way! I'll deal with you later, Emilia. And as for Asher, he'll pay for thinking he can take my wife from me!" With that, Mason stormed out, leaving Emilia shaken and phoneless. She was desperate to warn Daisy about Mason's threats, but how could she reach her now? At Asher's mansion, he and Daisy were lost in each other's embrace when the door burst open. Lydia and Amanda stood in the entrance, their eyes wide with surprise. "Wow, Asher! So this is why you've been avoiding us?" Lydia exclaimed. "Your relative is your girlfriend, and you're sharing kisses?" Asher's face darkened. "Shut up, Lydia! Don't ever enter my house unannounced again. I need privacy. What else do you want? I pay for your luxurious lifestyle, fund your shopping sprees, and take you on expensive vacations. I'll stop paying for everything except child support if you don't respect my boundaries!" Lydia smirked. "You lied, Asher. You'll dump her like you did us. That's what players like you do." Asher's expression turned cold. "I don't do married women, Lydia. That's a taboo for me." Daisy forced a laugh, hiding her unease. "I think we've had enough family drama for one day, Asher." Emilia called Daisy, but before she could speak, Daisy blurted out, "Emilia, I had s*x with Asher! We had an amazing night together!" Emilia's voice was laced with concern. "Daisy, what have you done? You're still married to Mason!" Daisy sighed. "I know, I know. We're getting a divorce, and he needs to sign the papers ASAP. He's a monster, Emilia. I don't want him in my way." Emilia advised, "You need to tell Asher the truth, Daisy. He needs to know you're married and that you're in the process of getting a divorce. You can't keep this from him." Daisy hesitated. "I don't want Mason to find out and cause trouble. Asher doesn't do married women, and I don't want him to hate me for not being honest." Meanwhile, Mason arrived at Asher's mansion, inquiring about Daisy's whereabouts. The guard replied, "She lives here, but she just left with Mr. Asher." Asher took Daisy to an exquisite restaurant, surrounded by blooming flowers and beauty. He led her to a prepared table and asked, "Daisy, will you be my girlfriend?" Daisy was taken aback. "Asher, you're a playboy with a lot of drama. Can you commit to me?" Asher's eyes locked onto hers. "I love you, Daisy. You bring me peace, joy, and everything I need. Please, don't say no." Daisy hesitated, knowing her past could hurt Asher. But she said yes, despite her reservations. As they exchanged a kiss, Mason watched from a distance, waiting for the perfect moment to strike and make Daisy's life miserable. Asher gazed into Daisy's eyes. "I love you so much. I've made reservations for us to stay here for three days, then we'll head home. Cheers to a perfect relationship and a great start!" Troy beamed with happiness, thrilled to see his friend settling down. "I'm so glad to see you happy, Asher. You deserve it." As they celebrated, Mason lurked in the shadows, snapping photos and posting them online. "Billionaire mogul proposes to mysterious girlfriend, Daisy Charles! Stay tuned for the reveal!" Asher's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the post. "Troy, how did this get out? I thought our reservation was private!" Troy's expression turned serious. "I don't know, Asher. Maybe a stalker or someone from your past is behind this. We need to be careful." Emilia called Daisy, her voice laced with concern. "Daisy, what's going on? You accepted Asher's proposal without thinking about your past, your marriage, and his playboy reputation? Are you sure he'll be loyal to you?" Daisy hesitated, knowing Emilia spoke the truth. "I'll tell him the truth, Emilia. I promise. Asher and I love each other, and we can work through our pasts together." Just then, Asher entered the room, curiosity etched on his face. "What truth are you talking about, Daisy? And who are you speaking with?" Troy burst in, excitement written all over his face. "Guys, we just landed a new contract! And Asher, you're going to love this -" Asher's gaze never left Daisy's face. "Tell me, Daisy. What's going on?" Daisy's eyes dropped, unsure of how to reveal her secret to Asher. "Asher, I need to tell you something important...but I'm scared." Asher's expression turned concerned. "What's bothering you, Daisy? You can trust me." Just then, Troy burst in, interrupting the moment. "Asher, you need to sign these documents for the business trip tomorrow. It's urgent." Asher excused himself, leaving Daisy alone. She called Emilia, her voice trembling. "Emilia, I'm scared to tell Asher about my marriage. What if he leaves me?" Emilia's voice was reassuring. "Daisy, if Asher truly loves you, he'll accept you for who you are. Don't start the relationship with lies, or it will sink. Just tell him the truth." Asher returned, apologizing for the interruption. "We'll talk when we get home, okay? We still have a lot to discuss." As they arrived home, a stranger tried to stop their car. Asher asked Troy who it was, but Troy shrugged. The guard tried to push the man away, but Asher asked them to leave him alone. The stranger approached, his eyes fixed on Daisy. "Asher, you may not know who I am, but ask the lady beside you." Daisy's eyes widened in horror as Asher turned to her. "Who is he, Daisy?" But she couldn't speak, her body shaking. Mason sneered. "Fine, I'll talk since she wants to remain silent. I'm her lawfully wedded husband, and I can take you to court for proposing to my wife." Asher's expression turned from confusion to shock. "Who are you? Is he your husband, Daisy?" Daisy's voice barely whispered. "Please, Asher, I can explain..." But Asher's face had already hardened, his eyes filled with disbelief and hurt. He turned away, leaving Daisy and Mason in an uncomfortable silence.
